WHEN WILL IT BE HERE, SPRING THAT IS !

Here I was thinking we have beat the snow and spring was on its way with all the warm weather and rain , NOT !!! We woke to heavy sticky snow falling this morning at 6 am , its 10 am now and it’s still coming down , all the grass I was finally able to see is now covered in a blanket of heavy sticky snow again  as is everything else BAAHUMBUG !!!!! It is windy and a mess out there ! Papa booked the day off of work and  has managed to go out with his dad to the wood show in the city of Kitchener , I was going to go but decided I would stay  home with Miggy instead of asking a family member to watch her for us. I am going out tomorrow with my mom in-law to the town of Sparta , I love this little town, its the town were my favourite tea shop/ restaurant  is that  showcases all their collectable tea pots . The town has amazing little country boutiques , shops , local art gallery  and is full of history .Cant wait!

We took Miggy to the vets yesterday eve and they fixed her up.Our vet checked her knee that she operated on and said it is great and has nice smooth movement in it . She said that some times things like this happens were one thing is good and another has to be treated all at the same time but it will all be back to normal soon. They put a loose bandage on her leg were the open sore was after they caked it in medicated cream and put on a white plastic flexi e-collar that was longer, the blue e-collar just wasn't working for her , this one actually looks  like a cone not a flower lol they usually don't like to use the harder cones unless they really have to like in our case as there have been times that the dogs will hurt themselves with them, they also gave us antibiotics for her to take twice a day in case of infection which that was what I didn't want to happen due to her wound was wide open and slightly concave. Our vet Karla said she will be fine and it will heal up nicely in time and that we did the right thing to bring her back for this as it could of got worse and that we were concerned for her. Our vet Karla also looks after live stock. I find that country vets are so much better then city vets, country vets have compassion for the animals they look after  and really care for them and are a lot more knowledgeable about the animals

So today Miggy and I are just puttering around and we can both relax more as she feels happier as do we to have the sore looked after .We will have to take her back again tomorrow for them to change the bandage and again on Monday  .

Yuck, snow just doesn't sound appealing to me right now. I want some warmth and sunshine! At least we are getting some sun right now, it is better than the gloom that we have seen all week. But then again, I am so thankful that we ar not experiencing the weather that some in the world are, so I need to stop whining. Have a great day!

Poor puppy. She looks pretty pathetic in those pictures. I'm guessing that collar is a great for getting sympathy attention.

Snow today after seeing the robin the day before. Hope it's not a snowfall that hangs around so you can get out to Sparta to the shops you enjoy. Miggy did look a bit mournful today with the new collar.
