Season Is Slowly Changing

I can’t believe this is the last week of August already ..where does the time go ? !

The kids will be back to school next week after our Labour day long weekend this weekend !

Parents may be thrilled of back to school  or not lol !

When Miggs and I went on our walk this morning all though still humid and sticky I noticed all the golden rod and wild flowers are bursting in bloom in the fields  .

Soon  our valley will be covered in lots of brilliant colours of reds, oranges, gold's and yellows ! I love photographing  the ever changing seasons  .

Cooler days and nights are on their way with the fresh sweet smelling  air of the harvest of  pumpkins , gourds , hay , corn and all the goodies we love .

Here the crickets are singing all day and night as it echo's through out the valley .

And the Cicadas are buzzing like mad  in the trees .

Everything is changing and preparing for the next season which will be here before we know it … it is  just around the corner !

The dark mornings are lingering that bit longer!
We call cicadas 'buzzy bugs',because when we first came to Canada we had no idea why the trees were buzzing!

Loved this winding down post.
As one season winds down I am always excited for the beginning of the next !

Great post with lovely images! It is amazing how quickly this summer has come and gone. Where did all that time go? I am looking forward to the beautiful images that autumn will offer, but not the winter! Although it does make for some pretty photos, too. I just wish is was shorter.

I love the sound of Cicadas. How fantastic that you were able to get such a great shot of one!

Fall will be coming around here soon enough, but for now the grass areas continue to need weekly cutting, leaves are all green still, and it's fairly warm in the daytime hours.

Wonderful photos of the change of seasons here in Canada. There are a lot of hummingbirds still around the feeders and flowers here too. And also goldfinches. I don't know if they're preparing to migrate or if they'll stay the winter. It's a pretty time of the year but I'm not looking forward to winter. Such is life in Canada.
