Well .. I Wanted Snow !

And we got it , all afternoon and evening, over night and still snowing this morning . The winds are still  howling snow blowing everywhere drifting and getting deeper .

JANUARY 2016 (15 of 15)

I took these photos last night as the snow was flying and the winds were blowing trying to capture it all !

We have a street light across from the house and this is what I saw when I looked out the front of the house  lots of snow falling , I am also practicing my night photography  to  lol ! Can be tricky lol !

I love these little guys  , the Juncos  they were all over the ground yesterday feasting from  under the feeders the seed that other birds drop .

These little birds never stay still for long they are always on the move bobbing about from one place to the other  and hard to take their photos because they move about so much .

I saw these two hiding in  our cedar hedges , they really stand out  dont they ? such pretty looking birds !

It is that time of year now especially with the cold winds and the snow falling to cozy up by the fire a bit more now . I like going out in the cold all bundled up and then coming in to a nice warm home with the fire going  and the smell of wood smoke  MMM soo wonderful . .

Papa went off to work this morning after 5 am like he does every work day  and any other given day it takes him only 20 min to get to work  ,well this morning it took him  45min  he said  and not one road was plowed  not even the main roads  and he nearly ditched it 3 times as the idiots that were on the roads dont know how to share the snow covered road  or which side they should be on or cant drive with out the line guiding them   some people should not be given a licence  or drive at all I say , anywho  he made it to work safe and sound so that was good .

I will be going out to shovel a bit this morning  Papa can snow blow the rest later when he gets home form work  ,  Maybe play with Miggs in the snow for a bit if it isnt to windy   then come in and  just cozy down the rest of the day with cupps of tea  a movie or two or finish my book  and possibly get a few photos in here and there lol  .

                                                                                  Until next time

That fire in the wood stove looks so cozy and warm Elaine. I'm glad you finally got some snow to enjoy and take pictures of the birds and Miggs playing in it. We're in for a good storm tonight and tomorrow morning and we need it again as what we had was rained off on Sunday night.

So you were the one that wanted snow. :) It has been coming down all day, at one time it appeared to slow right down so we went out to start the ckearing, then in comes another snow squall. It was like nailing jello to a tree, hopeless. But it looks pretty and there were lots of photo opportunities.

Do be careful when you are out! We barely got a flake...:(

Glad you got your snow! Look forward to comparing snowfalls! As for those drivers, i think we have it a lot better up here - everyone gets snow tires and knows how to drive in the winter, and township crews do a great job of clearing roads!
