They said we were to have rain this morning . The clouds kept going around us for hours and believe me I was praying for it to rain as we need it here at the Cove , but nothing . It was to humid so Miggy and I stayed in and I worked on designing my Country Kitchen Recipe book on office word . Then before I knew it , it was lunch time . Had lunch , then Papa called as he always does and said it was just pouring there , now he is only 20 min away but nothing here BOOHOO ! Then Miggy and I went to sit on the porch anyways and it was amazing . The clouds were finally coming over us and the birds were frantically eating from the feeders , now I know that means rain and boy did it ever . The strange thing was I could hear a WHOOSH ! sound and thought it was truck tires on the road that’s on the other side of river not far from us then it got louder and closer but then it didn't sound like tires on the road it was a sound I have never heard , it was actually the sound of the rain falling as it traveled with the clouds before it hit land !
And then it came down !
The wonderful sound and feel of rain !
Of course Miggy just had to lap it up from the puddles !
And I had to take photos of the rain drops on my flowers as they sang for joy !
I just love taking photos of flowers with rain drops on ! Cant ya tell ? lol !
I guess this squirrel figured it was raining so Miggy wouldn’t want to chase him off the feeder ! He was right , Miggy was to busy following me around and lapping up the rain puddles as I was taking photos in the rain !
As I write this it is still raining and there is a bit of rumbling in the sky .
Oh Glorious rain !

I loved how you described the rain. Glad you finally got some. Your photos are truly fantastic! I think we may have some rain later on. I heard from a friend in England and she said that haven't had this much rain over the summer for a 100 years.
Oh, I can't wait for our glorious rain. Your last photo is so pretty with the pink among the orange.
Please send some rain my way. We really need it here. We've had a long heatwave here in SoCal and there are a couple of brush fires burning.
