It came upon us fast , not long ago we were sweltering , now we are feeling the chill in the air and the freshness that comes with it ! The smell of fire places and bond fires , the sights of orange, yellow and reds begin to show as the trees slowly change their leaves and they drop to the ground , as country front porches get all dressed up with pumpkins , corn stocks , hay bales , gourds and different scarecrows ! As the inside of our homes get a new fresh look for fall , with baskets , candles and the smell of your favourite pie baking in the oven ! Going for walks on a chilly eve as the sun sets after a hearty supper to come in to a hot cup of tea and snuggle under a blanket to read a good book or watch a movie , to spending time reading and commenting on blogs and oohing and aweing over their lovely fall posts and photos . This is some of what fall is to me !
I spent the day sadly saying good bye to some summer flowers as they are done for the season and did some indoor and out door fall decorating yesterday as the weather was soo nice !
Day to night !
This oil lamp was my mum’s . I remember it as I was growing up on our hobby farm . It is very special to me !
Our fall front porch , and Miggy to !
Until next time , hope you all have great day !

What lovely fall decorations and treasures!! It's cool here today, and the feeling of fall is in the air--I'm so ready for the parade of colors to begin outside!
Enjoy your weekend!!
How pretty! You certainly are ready! I forgot to mention yesterday that I just love your header, too. :)
Happy Fall Country Gal... I love your new header too! That Miggy of yours is a ham! :)
Very Autumnal feeling in your house, and very beautiful displays.

I love your front porch. I wish it felt more like Fall her in SoCal. We are still in the 90's here and will be for a few more weeks.
Oh wow, I love your decorations. Looks like Miggy does too.
Elaine, you have certainly set the mood got fall with your lovely porch and home decorations. While I don't redecorate for the season, it does mean getting out candles to burn and covers for cooler nights.and, of course wrapping in a blanket and enjoying hot tad is very nice.
