Spring Is Pushing

It’s way through more and more here  each day  .  The snow and ice are melting  ,more grass is showing and greening up in spots  . Yesterday was cloudy ,  damp , mild and windy . The temps are slowly climbing  each day and the nights are becoming warmer  to .

MARCH 2014 (1 of 19)

It is almost April so with April showers brings May flowers  and that I cant wait for  . Miggs is happy there is grass again for a good rolly polly back scratch  !

Yesterday Miggs and I went for a long walk , all though cloudy it was quite pleasant out . We walked by the river and I noticed no more ice flowing in it  just fast running water , It was just last week it had huge ice jams in it so that tells me the temps and land are warming up !

Miggs after our long walk lol !!

We have a little song Sparrow or as some call them field Sparrow who sits in our Cedars beside the front of the house  and sings so pretty !

MARCH 2014 (6 of 19)

The Robins are bobbing around poking at the ground checking to see if it is soft enough for the worms  and grubs to be near the surface  yet !

MARCH 2014 (11 of 19) Today  it is cloudy again and possible showers but the temps are mild and more snow and ice patches are melting  .

I figure by next week  with the warmer temps  and breezes  , rain , sun  and the land being warmer what little is  left of our snow and ice  will be gone and spring can push through even more  !

Until next time my friends .

Never underestimate the value of a good roll on the back, right, Miggs?

Spring is slow to show itself, though looking at the ice on the Canal today, I did see weakness to the look of the surface.

And we have another big snowstorm coming tomorrow! Yikes. Winter doesn't want to stop down here. We did have a very nice day today though ~ sunny and +8. A lot of melting going on. Love it!!

Dull skies here all day but melting taking place with temperatures above zero. I dug away some snow around a couple of boxwood bushes just to see the green!!! The birds have been busy in the garden as have the squirrels and chipmunks.

Hi, Our snow is gone but more in the forecast for next week. I have noticed bulbs are poking up through the soil and mulch. I can't wait till we are done with snow. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
Hugs,

Our snow is all gone, and just like you, we are slowly seeing the return of the color--And our April showers have come a little early, we've had rain all weekend, I think your girl Miggs has the right idea! :-)!

We had quite a dumping last night, and it's still coming down. This might change our plans to have company and go on a studio tour.
