Summer Day’s

The weather has been wonderful , the humidity had dropped a bit since Thursday and the mornings have been cool and dewy with a nice breeze !

Yesterday I was doing some weeding when came along a Eastern Swallow Tail butterfly . I have noticed that the butterfly’s haven’t been around much this year as last year I was snapping photos like crazy by this time of year of all kinds of them !

Summer 2013 (49 of 74)

He was enjoying each and every cone flower we have and fluttering from one to another . So of course I had to get my camera in hope he would still be there and alas he was ! so the weeding got put of for a bit lol !

I think he really likes the variety he has to choose from in our garden !

I guess he was full after all that cause he fluttered away . Thanks pretty butterfly for letting take your picture  see you later !

So Got back to my weeding and finished that up and looked around for more  things to photograph .

Well here’s a cute one . Miggs fast asleep on the patio . Yes that is her tongue sticking out  lol she has done this since she was a pup !

Well not to much more around that I could find to photograph as it was mid afternoon by now and all was napping . Kind of like Miggs here lol .

Until next time , hope you have a good summers day !

'Fess up...you snuck that butterfly from the butterfly conservatory didn't you?!
In Shakespeare's day butterflies were called 'flutterbys'....I prefer that name!

LOvely butterfly photos, they are hard to capture with the camera. Miggs, as always, is adorable. The humidity is returning this afternoon.

Hi Elaine! I've noticed the same thing in my garden this year.. Not many butterflies yet and our largest butterfly bush and cone flower is in full bloom right now. I hope your beautiful swallowtail sends some friends south soon! Lovely picks... I've just got to get a macro lens!!!
Migg's tongue hanging out is adorable!LOL

Miggie's photo is just as delightful as the butterflies! I could take photos of both all day too!

I hope your day today has been just as enjoyable!
