TODAYS PROJECT START TO FINISH

 

It’s a long weekend for us  here in Canada as it is a civic holiday on Monday but Papa took yesterday off as well so he has 4 days off WHOOHOO ! So ya know he will be building some kind of project this weekend and that he has !

Papa and I wanted to shade the birds water fountain in the centre garden cause it is always getting the sun all day directly on it . So today Papa built a Pergola over the fountain , it wont shade it completely but it is better then in the baking sun for the entire day !

                                              Papa calls it the Birdie Pergola !

                         The birds were very happy with their new Birdie Pergola !

                                   I love it ! Great job Papa ! Looks wonderful !

PHOTOS FROM YESTERDAY

 

Yesterday was a perfect summer day, my kind of day, warm sun and cool breezes. I was finally able to get out and do some photography as the past week it has been to hot and humid but yesterday was perfect as is this morning. I love waking up early to birds singing, roosters crowing and fresh sweet smelling cool air !

      Harley loves to sleep on her scratch post and sit in the open window as the breeze blows in !

Ok ! I found myself chasing after this butterfly in hopes for his photo ! The things we will do for the love of photography !

   Mr bee was hard to photograph as well what with the wind and him flying from flower to flower he just wouldn't stay still for long lol !

  I  took lots more photos , I had a ball yesterday practicing my field of view ,close ups and lighting ! Oh and chasing bugs around like a total nutter to get their photo lol !

EARLY THIS MORNING

It was a nice cool dewy morning , I turned off the AC and opened up the windows, there was a nice gentle cool breeze and the air was fresh !  I had to  get out and take some photos as  it had been to hot that past week or so to be out.

       I am still practicing with the Macro lens for close ups , depth of field and lighting!

FINALLY WE GOT RAIN !

 

We had a bit of a thunderstorm last night. It wasn't much of a storm but WOW! did we get rain WOOHOO ! about time, we hadn't had rain for a month and all the grass was looking brown and very thirsty . I had been trying to keep all my gardens and planters watered but nothing seems to be the same as rain water for them fresh from the sky’s .It’s strange how mother natures rain does the trick. Papa and I sat out on the back porch for a while in the dark just listening to the rain and feeling the cool breeze that came with it, listening to the crickets as they made their sounds so loud as though they were playing in the rain drops, mind you after it was done it got even more humid as the moister went back up into the air. It looks like it may rain again today, big dark clouds are floating around today and it’s humid so today we are just staying indoors where its nice and cool.

Olay,Olay , Olay Olay feeling hot,hot,hot  Betchya have that song in your head now lol  I did as I was writing this lol . It is worse today then yesterday WOW! to feel like 116 wayyy to hot for me !

             All I can say here is stay cool and drink plenty of fluids were ever you are !

WOW! SOOO HOT !

 

It is brutal out there and only going to get worse through out the week ! Thank goodness for AC ! We haven't had a stich of rain for 4 weeks. I guess I will be doing a lot of reading indoors in the cool. I went out early this morning to feed the birds and make sure they had clean fresh water to drink and I was sweltering, by the look of me ya would of thought I just ran a marathon in the heat, can you imagine being like the animals with their fur coats in this heat  WOW ! just the thought makes me want to jump in a freezer !  Bad enough getting hot flashes these days but having them on top of the heat and humidity UNBEARABLE ! Miggy is sleeping in the nice cool, she will try to go out every now and then just to check on the yard then she will be at the door barking to come in where it is nice and cool, she’s no dummy she knows its cool in the house lol . So on that note , hope you all stay nice and cool where ever you are and have a great day !

MIGGY PLAYING IN THE SPRINKLER

 

We haven’t had rain for weeks and our grass is brown, so yesterday evening we put the sprinkler on and Miggy had a blast, she loves water and playing in the sprinkler. The weather has been soo hot and humid !

                                 Yup that's her tongue ! as she try's to catch the water !

           That's our crazy Miggy !     She had soo much fun as you can see !
