The In Between With This & That

The in between  of winter and spring that is , where the sun is shining , the air is cold in the mornings and warming up during the day with the  hope for spring in each day  then the night falls and it  is cold or a sprinkle of snow falls  that's what we are in now  in between winter and spring .  I love the early morning sunrises and the later sun sets , by this time next Sunday our clocks spring forward an hour and so our evening sun sets even later but it rises a bit later in the mornings for a bit to  but eventually as spring gets closer and winter gets pushed out the door for good  the sun will rise very early in the mornings and set late in the evenings  .

Papa and I went to a nice little party last night for a friends 60th birthday, it was a nice get together of chatting, laughing and meeting new people  , we were home by 10pm , yeah now us old folks don't stay out late any more lol !  I woke this morning with a bad migraine at 5:30am  so I got up and tended with that and Papa even got up incase I needed anything  what a love he is  . I am feeling better now  and no I don't drink so it isn't from that lol !

I took some photos of things here and there over the last few days as the weather was quite lovely !

MARCH 2016 (1 of 2)

I spotted this Sharp shinned Hawk out my kitchen sliding doors and hoped he would stay there for me to get a few photos of him  then I realized he had something in his talons  , it was a starling  , I managed to get two photos and off he went with his supper . The snow is melting more and more now and lots of grass patches are showing and  the Starlings have been feasting on the ground now .

Speaking of Starlings  they are here in droves and trying to take over the feeders and suet's as well as diving their beaks in the ground .

I then went around the house this morning as  the sun had risen and took photos of the  things that the sun was shining on   in the house   . I love an early morning sun shining in the house .

Seeing the sun shine always makes me happy and gives one such a pick me up regardless of the temps out side .

MARCH 2016 (9 of 12)

MARCH 2016 (11 of 12)

It was cold and frosty out this morning but this sun shine is warming things up a bit more , talking about warming up, starting tomorrow Monday , our temps go up more and more each day as the week progresses  the high will be reaching 10C   or 50F possibly higher for most days with sunshine and maybe even a day or two of rain  so there we have it  the in between winter and spring weather with the hope that spring will finally win !

Well that’s it for me for now  . I am joining in with Karen over at her blog for Sunlit Sunday .

                                                                                          Sunlit Sunday

                                                                                         Until next time .

Gosh what a delightful and humane nature blog. Very enjoyable. Glad I spotted you at William's Ottawa Daily Photo. I blogged from Hawaii for years, but am now living in Northern Calif by a lagoon full of nature. Aloha!

Those dang starlings have been around most of the winter, blame it on the weather. I stopped putting suet out as they just devoured it. Great photo of the hawk. Looks like the weather will be improving as the week goes one, sure hope it stays around. Hope that nasty headache has gone. I used to get them but once I stopped worked they seemed to stop as well.

Great series of photos, loved your birds and your flowers and your collectibles. The lighting in the last three is fantastic. They have a lovely feel to them. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Looks like warmer weather is coming down our way next week and I hope you will see the same.

That's an amazing photo of the hawk, and what a big boy he is! I wish I felt bad for the Starling that became his meal, but I really don't -- Is that bad? :-) But I do hope you're feeling better! Your geranium and Christmas cactus are really lovely!

That is an amazing picture of the hawk. I feel the same way about the sun. When the sun comes from behind a cloud, it totally changes my mood. Glad your headache went away. Headaches are awful!

Your shots of early morning sunshine are lovely. My kitchen faces east, so like you, I bask in that morning light. Gorgeous!

Great captures of the hawk and starlings. Birds are wonderful creatures to watch. Sunlight streaming into your home makes beautiful shadows. Isn't it wonderful to see the days lengthening?

I always enjoy seeing your homey shots; the bright copper kettle is definitely a favourite of mine and I like the play of light on the lantern as well. I hope your migraine didn't last too long and that such nastiness isn't very frequent. I'd better remember to spring forward this weekend.
