Well that's the first week of March done already WOW ! Despite the freezing rain and snow storm we had at the beginning of the week and the cold temps things are looking up . The sun is shining and has some lovely heat to it now and things are slowly beginning to drip and melt as the temps start to rise now during the day . I was out and about going for lovely walks with Miggs and filling feeders and enjoying the birds and taking photos .
Some trees were still encased in ice as the sun was shining on them they all sparkled and when the breeze blew they would have a crinkle tinkling sound to them almost like glass being gently clinked together .
The icicles have been many and so pretty as they hang in suspension .
And some even take on a peculiar shape as they hang there !
I do like ice storms for the photography aspect of it that's for sure !
Ever so slightly as the sun rises you can just see the tops of the trees at the top of our valley glittering with ice in the sun rise sun light !
Every day since the storm we have had wonderful sunrises and sunshine not always stays out till sun set but today it will as it is to be clear sky's all day . I saw that our Grackles and Red Wing Blackbirds have also returned and are feasting away at our feeders to now ,it is so nice to have most of our spring birds back .
Love the clear blue sky’s with lots of sunshine !
So does this little guy !
The sun is now warm and Miggs is loving it as well as the temps rising to as bit by bit all this is slowly melting .
The weather this weekend is to be mild and sunny and get better each day and warmer , next week we are to have temps hit 10C or 50F and sunny for the best part of the week then lots of rain for a day or two in between . I think spring is now on her way and pushing old man winter out the door . As much as I do like taking photos like these I still want spring and warmer temps .
Until next time .

A hint of spring was in the air here today.
You sure got an ice storm. It feels different outside and the temps will be rising as of tomorrow. Can't wait to get ouside and already making a list of jobs to do.
Looks nice and warm, lucky you. Got a dumping of snow today, yuk!!!! Love Miggs on the swing, cute.Blessings Francine.
Freezing rain does result in some fascinating images!
Hello, pretty sunrise and I love all the icicles. Migg is always a favorite. Wonderful photos! Happy weekend!
Really wonderful photos, very nice. Warm greetings!
This looks so very cold! Specially to us here in Australia who are sweltering through a heatwave.
I do love the icicle formations, especially watching them drip when the sun comes out. I've just noticed your daylight savings in your side bar, is it really next week that the clocks go forward? I can't believe that winter has gone, it didn't really appear here :)
Amazing icicles! I have never seen a right angled one before!! xx
