The weather has been lovely sunny and warm yesterday temps hit 16C or 62F it was wonderful . Miggs and I had a nice walk and we were out side for the best part of the day .
Miggs spent most of the day doing this in the sun shine .
We have no snow left now and the birds are very active and happy , and lets say have a bit of spring fever as they chase each other about lol !
We have most of our spring birds back and it is wonderful to see and hear them chatting and singing .
The Cow bird arrived yesterday to our yard .
We now have Grackles , Starlings , Robins, Red Wing black birds , Cow birds, Morning Doves , Killdeer, and Song Sparrows of which I still have to get photos of a few for my spring Migration archives.
We have droves of Pine Siskins like this little guy they are not shy around my camera and I actually they seem to pause and pose for me lol and our Goldfinch who are a little bit more shy .
Just a few photos of the yard, valley and a bit of the gardens .
Every now and then swarms of Starlings hoard the ground pecking at it like mad there is one far to the right bottom of the photo who is still there indulging whilst the others flew off at my present's .
Even the over night temps have been warm , last night it only dropped to +8 or 46F it was wonderful to wake to such warm temps .
Oh Miggs , you know how to make me laugh ! This is what she does when the camera is not on her and she is trying to get my attention , it works lol !
The sun is shining or trying to with the clouds showing up rain for the afternoon over night and into tomorrow then sunshine for two more days then rain again temps will be warm still . I think it is safe to say winter here is over and SPRING is in WOOHOO !
Well that it for me got get going ,until next time .

It's gorgeous out, sure hope this sticks around for more than a couple of days. We have 2 family birthdays this weekend and usually there is a storm, usually snow, but I'm hoping this year the rain that is coming tomorrow will count as the birthday storm :)
I don't think I've seen any Pine Siskins as yet. They look to be about the size of a Goldfinch. And, no sign of red-winged blackbirds, either. I have had a few robins, though and my goodness, the birds here are hungry. I put out a cage of 2 inch pieces of wool and already they are being picked up. I do hope they plan to make nests right here this year. It would be a first. Loved your photos, as always, Elaine. "Hi Miggs" xo Deb
Looking good Elaine...
On the road soon...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Well we're getting there, but it will take a few more days.
Miggs knows how to relax!
Here we still have snow.
These photos are great and I can tell Miggs is enjoying the warmer weather. We were out enjoying it too today and I saw my first daffodils. Fantastic! If I didn't know I would fall out of my shoes I would have kicked up my heels, lol.
Looks like things are beginning to warm up for you, Love the shot of rthe Sisken and of course that first one of Miggs.
Lovely to see that spring is arriving for you! We are still waiting for it here so in the meantime I will enjoy yours! xx

Hello, Pretty collection of bird images. And Miggs is always adorable cute doggie. I am loving this beautiful warm weather. Wonderful photos! Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!
You have mastered the art of photography as well as Miggs has mastered the art of rest.
You have a beautiful blog! Really enjoyed your photos. We are having above average temps here in Michigan as well.
Happy Thursday!
Oh, Miggs is such a cute funny dog, love his relaxed pose.
Now that I have been away from SW Ont for 10 years, it seems like a tropical, exotic place. :)
