Spring Happenings

 

I am loving this spring weather we are having today , the sun is shining all though the air is a bit chiller then I like it with winds but the sky's have been so clear and a brilliant colour of blue  , the grass is greening up  and getting thicker and all things spring are popping up everywhere . Birds  singing and nesting , Critters chasing each other about , flowers and buds almost ready to pop I cant contain my self it is wonderful to have spring here .

           Miggs and I went for a nice walk then I was out taking photos of the spring happenings here in  our  neck of

                                                                             the Woods Country Cove .

Mr & Mrs Sparrow have moved into the house Papa built and put up on our sign in the center garden this past weekend , I love seeing them and we can see them from the kitchen sliding doors now to .

                         Miggs is on squirrel patrol as they chase each other around the yard from feeder to feeder !

                                She just finished  chasing these two above  up our big old tree ! and giving them her last word lol !

                                                         I have lots of English daisies blooming already .

                                                               Hyacinths are slowly making an appearance to !

                                                                      And a few Daffodils are ready to pop !

                                                                      So much lovely spring going on here !

                      Lilac bushes budding , cant wait for them to be in bloom I have 10 bushes and all have different colors .

The Robins have been busy feasting on grubs and worms , we have lots of Robins here this year and some seem to be making home in our cedar hedge again this year.

                                                                         They also love our bird bath fountain !

Our little song Sparrow who has taken up residents in our cedar hedges as well has been serenading us all day with his lovely song !

The yard and valley is so busy and full of lovely sounds from birds to peepers at night and in the early mornings . It is the wake up call of the wild with spring here and I feel so blessed to see and hear it all .

Well that's it for now  I must get back out there and enjoy more spring as the sun is shining and the land is waiting for me to discover more of it’s beauty .

You are way ahead of us, Elaine. I don't see anything popping up yet. And holy smokes....that didn't take long to get some tenants for your bird house. What a well-established bird sanctuary you have developed there. There must be a waiting-list of birds waiting to get in. lol

Man!!! I can't believe we live in the same country.. lol..

Your pictures really do show spring...and all the little birds. I can just see Miggs chasing the squirrels and that picture with his tail up...well, it's easy to see that he means business.

So many exciting signs of Spring! I just love to watch the buds emerge. The squirrels are driving my Polly crazy. She watches out the window, then barks at us to go out and chase them off the bird feeders.

I love watching Miggs and the squirrels reminded me of our old girl. Yes nice day for walking I saw a robin walking in the snow in our backyard and wonder what she will find to eat? Nothing up in my garden yet, enjoy
