FEW!! That’s That Storm Over With

WOW ! what a night of no power after 9pm , rain then freezing rain , high winds and over night snow . Now the sun is shining and all seems good this day after the storm.  March the typical month of roaring in like a lion , hope Mrs. Spring can push old man winter out the door soon .

I took some photos from inside of the out side during and after the storm.  The night photos are good practice and quite the challenge to.

MARCH 2016 (4 of 28)

It didn't take long for ice to form on the land or the windows last night !

MARCH 2016 (6 of 28)

This morning we woke to some snow and ice all over everything  and me going around resetting things from the power outage   as the power was restored by 4 am .

MARCH 2016 (7 of 28)

This morning started out cloudy but then the sun came out and some of the ice on the windows is beginning to melt and drip  already , but the land is pretty with snow and ice all over it . Miggs seems to think so to !

The birdies were feasting like mad this morning happy that the storm is over and the sun is out !

MARCH 2016 (19 of 28)

I bet the poor Robins that have returned wished they didn't yet !

I just love the look of ice on trees and other things  and when the sun is shining on it all , soo pretty !

MARCH 2016 (1 of 8)

I took all these from inside my windows as nothing had been plowed or shoveled yet and it is slippery out there  but the sun is strong so I wanted to capture what I can before it all melted ! It was blowing snowing a bit to out there so it added to the affect . We didn't get a lot of snow maybe 1cm or less then an inch and the snow is light and fluffy .

MARCH 2016 (8 of 8)

Well that's our storm for the beginning of March . The sun is shining and I better get out there and do a bit of shoveling all though the sun will  of melted most of it in the front already  .

Hope all who were hit by this storm are all safe .

                                                                                                  Until next time !

You make cold look inviting. These are beautiful.

Your photos are beautiful. We got so lucky. The storm was supposed to pass through here but then changed direction. It never arrived; just bypassed us completely.

Hi, oh what a storm you got. We are just getting high winds here, some are saying that March will come in like a lamb, but go out like a Lion. I prefer it just to act like a lamb. I'm ready for spring.
Have a good afternoon.
Hugs, Noreen

Any chance to roll in the snow is a good one for Miggs!

We got it all as snow.

Your photos are beautiful but I don't know how much more of this winter I can take. Our storm is over, too, and now the cold sets in for two days. Then, spring-like weather follows. Thank God!I know you are just as anxious as I am for Spring. "Hi Miggs".

We had no storms, either rain or snow, to welcome in the month of March. Your storm photos did look lovely, Elaine. Glad the power wasn't off too long, but resetting everything can be maddening.

No rain up here, but LOTS of snow!

That was quite a storm wasn't it? We got 1 foot of snow overnight with very high winds. Some of the drifts are waist deep and I almost didn't get down some of the back roads on the way to work as the plows couldn't get to them yet. So glad we didn't lose our power though, I heard that your area did. Stay warm and stay safe.

Hello, the ice storms are dangerous. I do not like loosing power either. I hope everything is melting now. Cute shot of Miggs and pretty captures of the ice. Take care and have a happy day!

Happy to hear all is good with you, what a storm you weathered. Cold here this morning but the sun is out, makes it feel better. Blessings Francine.

Fine photos CG, particularly the inside-outside ones.

Great series of snowy photos Elaine. I would need Miggs' coat to go out and roll around on the ice and snow though :))) What a darling!
