Enjoying The Mild Weather

Miggs and I have been enjoying the mild weather . The sun has been shining the temps have been warmer  up to +6 or 32F now and it is still morning the temps will be reaching +8 or  46F  so far today  .

MARCH 2016 (1 of 5)

Miggs was snoozing outside early this morning in the sun as she waits for me to get things done and go for our walk ! We have patches of snow left here and there but all is melting more and more each day .

MARCH 2016 (2 of 5)

She noticed me at the sliding door taking her photo !

MARCH 2016 (3 of 5)

The look of I will just wait here in the sun shine as your not ready yet mum !

The birds have been singing like crazy and very busy doing what birds do this time of year . Miggs and I went for a nice long walk this morning as the Canada Geese flew over honking loud , they are now all on their spring flight paths and the Tundra swans fly to and from their feeding grounds at the conservation areas in the area in preparation to fly up to the artic  for our spring and summer .  As Miggs and I were walking and enjoying the fresh air , sunshine and nature  , I spotted and heard the Song Sparrow in the marsh by the river just a few minuets from home  and there was lots of Red Winged Black birds there to all singing and happy with the sun shine and temps . I was happy to see them all back .  The birds that have returned  are  Starlings , Grackles, Robins , Red Winged Black birds , Song Sparrows and Morning Doves  , we still have a few more to return for the spring , then our summer birds join them later on  as a few of our winter birds leave us .

MARCH 2016 (5 of 5)

Sun shine for this morning but dark clouds are moving in now , rain for late afternoon and evening will defiantly get rid of the left over snow patches and all will be grass again.  Things here are looking up for spring to arrive soon , I can feel it and smell it in the air now  .

Miggs when we got back from our long one and half hour walk lol !

MARCH 2016 (4 of 5)

The rest of the weeks weather is to be a mix of sunshiny days and rainy days but the temps for the week are to be very mild 10C or 50F or even higher  so that's good with us as we will be enjoying it all cause SPRING it’s way !

                                                                                      Until next time .

Miggs looks a bit grumpy in that first shot. We're still covered in snow.

Wow, I can't believe the weather you are getting there and that some of the spring birds are returning already. I am going outside as soon as I've finished my tea to see what's what in the yard. It is only 3 but the sun is shining beautifully. Tomorrow....snow and rain....nasty day. Take care and enjoy the day!

Isn't it lovely outside? Saw robins, geese flying over, lilac buds getting bigger, daffs poking through the ground, put up some tree faces just to make me feel like I'm doing something, got some patches of snow raked and spread out and they are melting away quickly. Enjoy the day.

Hi there, Your weather sounds just like ours, a mix of really pleasant days followed by rain and dark clouds plus cold temps. It's been like that today; hubby is doing wood work in the garage and I'm focusing on sewing. I too love hearing the birds when I wake up in the morning.
Sending you hugs.

Beautiful temperatures for sure. The town where I work got up to just over 15 degrees today. The snow keeps melting but we still have more to go. I noticed the same birds returning on the weekend - mourning doves, starlings, a red wing blackbird but haven't seen any robins yet. They went crazy at the feeder on the weekend, I loved watching them.

It looks like Miggs sure enjoyed the nice weather.

Have a great week, Kelly.
