Our First Dusting Of Snow

The day started out cloudy and mild then it started to snow tiny snow flakes at first then  big snow flakes . Miggs and I went for a nice walk  in it and it was quiet in the valley as the snow fell , so peaceful and pretty ! When we got home from our walk it wasn’t so peaceful as the birdies were chatting up a storm and feasting at the feeders like mad . I took  a few photos of the snow  as I do every year  to keep some what of a journal of each season and it’s changes .  Why this time last year we were very deep in snow and very cold .

Falling snow is a challenge to capture lol !

You can see  way in the back to the top right of this garden pic I still have English daisies growing , they have been growing and blooming since the beginning of the summer  I take it they like the hot and cold temps .

Miggs loves it as you can see here . Papa was outside in his shed moving about the tractors  the snow blower and digging out the pet safe salts , just getting things prepared for the snowy season that will be here even more so soon  .

I always find the first snow fall or two  soo pretty and it  really changes the look of the land  even if it melts in a few hours  like it already has !

                                                                         Until next time .

Hi Elaine, It seems like you've gotten your snow later than usual, or am I mistaken? We've had two snowy days and bitter cold this weekend.
Love seeing Miggs sitting with snow all around, even on top.
Have a fantastic weekend.
Hugs, Noreen

Our little dusting didn't stay but I believe we have more snow in the forecast. It sure puts you in holiday mode, doesn't it?
Our dogs are so different, mine is a home body and doesn't go outside much except for the necessities.

When the snow does come, it will break the bleakness of the landscape. At least there's that. But it doesn't have to hurry -- not for me anyway.

I totally agree with you about the snow. There truly is something so special about the first one of the year, even if it doesn't stay around! I'm a tad bit envious, but I know our turn will come soon enough! Take care, stay warm, and enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

First snow is always so pretty and magical, then it sticks around for several weeks and we can't wait for it to go.
You did a great job capturing the first flakes of snow. Miggs loves it. We already have the snowblower moved from the shed to the garage. We figure if it is there and ready we won't need it yet!! :)
We didn't get any snow yet, but it says maybe some flurries later today. Time will tell, but I'll have the camera ready.

Pretty first snow pics Elaine. That sweet Miggs doesn't seem to be bothered by it at all! Our snow is coming tomorrow and a lot of it too! Have a good afternoon.

Miggs looks like she's taking it in stride.

We've seen a few flakes here, and it is cold enough.
