Just some photos from the past few days . I have been busy out in the yard and gardens and taking lots of walks , photos and enjoying the out doors . The weather this week has been lovely sunny and cool breezes , the nights have been cooling off nicely with dewy chilly mornings .
All kinds of flowers in our gardens are in full bloom and the array of colour is just amazing .
Even Mr Catbird seems to like to stop and take a peek at the gardens lol ! or more like looking for lunch lol
Mrs Robin was back in the yard after a few weeks of vacation . I wonder if she will have a third batch of babies before the summer is over in her nest that she built above our porch light maybe , she has been checking it out again from a far !
The Orioles and Hummers are feasting now as they prepare for their long trip home soon .
I was taking , or trying to take photos of the baby Barn Swallows which I had no problems doing at the beginning of the summer but this time Mrs Barney we call her wasn’t to impressed with me being with in 20 feet of her babies as she dive bombed me on and off , one time she got so close I heard her beak snap open and closed . So I got the shots I was looking for and let her and her babies be and let her calm down, my goodness they tweet and carry on frantically and call the family to help to lol . I felt like a cat being chased off lol !
So after that Miggs and I walked the gardens well ok I walked the gardens and she stopped to smell the flowers !
So that’s what’s been going on here a Bit Of This & That to end the week .
Until next time .

Great captures and I love the hummingbird!
Oh, that last photo of Miggs is just precious. Just look at that nose taking it all in. :) I would like to see a catbird visit us. After all, it is the mouse-house. haha! Love your sign in the header. A real personal touch to the gardens. Warm days and cool nights....perfect. Deb
I have to smile at Miggs in that last shot. Wonderufl photographs from your garden adn excelent flight shots of the Hummers. Have a lovely weekend.
Odd summer weather, eh? After the incredible heat of last week, it has been mostly cloudy and cool (cool for summer). One does appreciate the cool nights for sure. I like the one photo of nothing but hummer. Didn't know the swallows were so fiesty.
Miggs is such a cutie!
You really do beautiful hummer shots.
Beautiful captures of the birds and blooms. I like the left photo in your header - it's so pretty. Yes, I was thinking about the hummers lately that they'll soon be leaving us. We get stragglers here until mid-September though but certainly not the busy crew that is around right now. The shot of the baby barn swallows is sweet. Enjoy the weekend.
Lovely selection of photos, cute story about the swallows diving at you. I see Miggs appreciates the flowers :)
I'm always impressed by how many different species of birds there are across blog land...and how a country like Canada can have so many different ones from one end to the other.
Your flowers are very pretty, and colorful.

Beautiful flowers and you still have a good assortment of birds! Lovely photos! :)
Hello, your flowers are gorgeous! And I always love to see your sweet Miggs. Momma Swallow is very protective of her babies. They are so sweet. I love the Hummers, Oriole, Robin and Catbirds, all great yardbirds! Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy new week ahead!
