Chilly Days Now

The past few days have been chilly, fall is here in full swing , I had to turn the furnace on this morning as it was a chilly  58 degrees in the house when we woke up and the temp out side was only 5°C   it isn't that much warmer now either lol the winds are getting that nip in them already ! Yesterday we had rain and hail and this morning it was sunny. Papa popped up to town for  a few things and I started on the garden clean up , then when he got home , we both  got out and got some more garden clean up done . We put away the patio furniture , moved the picnic table that was down by the fire pit onto the patio  , that thing weights a ton , put away the water fountain , and I trimmed and sprayed my Geraniums with bug be gone and brought them in for the season . Then the clouds rolled in and that was that .

OCTOBER 2014 (4 of 5)

We will have to wait for another nice day to get the rest of the gardens done and all cleaned up ! Hope we don't get snow before then , shiver at the thought .

It is 3:30 pm and I just put the roast  in the oven , a tradition for us in the cooler months every Sunday for supper .

Until next time my friends !

Brr. we had our first frost of the season last night, rather early too.
Your header is gorgeous, it really puts you in the mood for those Sunday roasts and fireside dinners.
Do you dry roast your joint, or make a pot roast ?
*Drool* either way :)

Your geraniums look lovely! I keep an outdoor flower garden every year, but haven't learned the art of keeping indoor plants alive...poor things, keeping them in my room is nearly equal to a death sentence; I either under or over water them or else do something else wrong. Looks like you've figured out how to keep your plants not only alive but beautiful!

Will be wishing for some last warm weather for you as well as for myself!

It's chilly here too, furnace on this morning, sweaters out of the cupboard for wearing, and I'm even thinking of getting the scarves and fingerless mitts out. Have a great Monday.

Guess I'll have to start thinking about what I am bringing inside for the winter....
Those Geraniums look fantastic....
Aren't they just the best gosh darn plant?
Yes Elaine....it seems Lake Erie is soooo rough!
Hopefully this Friday will be more friendly!
Enjoy your week....
Cheers!

I'm not ready to give into the cold weather yet. :) I'm leaving my annuals out (covered at night) and deck stuff for a while yet. Will insectacidal soap kill the bugs on plants too? I should spray my geraniums when I bring them in although I never did last year. I don't really want any bugs in the house!
