A nest by our back door and up on our porch light !
Mrs Robin
She is in the process of getting it all sturdy and packed . Papa said that if she needs help he will put a shelf under the light to help her out ! This is the first year a bird let a lone my favourite bird has even attempted to nest here ! We have lots of Robin couples in our yard this year and they are nesting all over . I love it !
Things are warming up and sun is shining , finally in the spring we all know and love .
Until next time

Morning, Awww, so cute, funny location though.Blessings Francine.
she must know she is more than welcome. It will be lovely to see and hear the little ones when they hatch.
That's exciting except that she will be very protective of the nest with yourselves and Miggs. I watched a robin hang a beating on a bluejay yesterday, it was relentless chasing the jay with flapping wings and pecking. I guess they're fed up with other birds and squirrels taking their eggs and young. :-)
Good Morning, she did pick an odd spot for a nest.. Silly bird.. Great shot, enjoy your day!
That's so cool, Elaine although a friend of mine had one nest at her front door and they had to move it as she kept attacking people as they came and went.
I love Robins! It is my state's bird. The color of the eggs are my favorite!
Our house has a roof over the front door which creates a spot for the barn swallows to build nests. We put streamers in the corners to keep them away from that spot, so now they are building right on the wall. We keep taking it down, they keep coming back with more mud to put it up. They are sooooo messy!
In Sarnia, we once had them nest in a hanging basket on the patio. Silly birds.
It's a handy site. It might be best to put the shelf up sooner instead of later.
It seems she feels very comfortable on your porch light, such fun to have bird nests in the garden. I love watching them making their nest and then waiting with excitement on the new born birdies.
My goodness, quite a nest site!! Robins do choose unusual places though don't they. xx
How exciting !
Hope she'll allow you to watch her raise her babies, and will be a happy home-maker.

Awww... sweeeet.... xo
Heat and electricity included! I'm catching up after a few days away. Had to get fresh food this morning and then spend time checking out the garden and doing a few little jobs. Perhaps back to some posts in a day or so. But first gotta file the taxes!
That's great Elaine. You will enjoy watching the goings on in this nest.
SUch a devoted mama! Robin nestlings are just the cutest.
Awwwwww...so sweet! I love that your hubby would do such a kind thing. Mine would do the same. That's what makes them so wonderful!
