April Showers !

Bring May flowers and showers we have had a lot of  , this will be our third day of rain.  We had a good thunderstorm last night I love thunderstorms and the temps were warm all night we had the windows open . The temps overnight stayed at  10C or 50F  and I woke this morning with temps up to  15°C or  60 °F nice to wake to those temps and because of all the rain it is actually humid out .  The Robins were singing their hearts out this morning , oh and last night and this morning the peepers were out with their song as it echoed through the valley marsh and swamps I love the  sound of peepers  . This morning the breeze is blowing warm and the rains have stopped for now , as I sit here with my window open I hear the Robins chirping n chatting , the Starlings and the Chickadees with the odd Crow cawing , Sparrows chirping  and the Geese honking from the river , then we have the Grackles making their funny squeaking, screeching  cracking sounds  , the Song Sparrow is singing his pretty song from the tree tops  and the Redwing black birds are making their sound  like we are in the  marsh , oh the sounds of spring  music to my ears. I will be going out later this morning and hunting for any signs of flowers poking up from the ground , we have no snow left .  Our Chipmunks have been dashing about collecting food from under the feeders but I haven’t captured any photos of them as they are sticking to the far back feeders and are quick little things as they aren’t used to me and my camera just yet lol  , they will be in time .

I took a few photos yesterday as it was pouring rain .

Later this afternoon we are to get sunshine so that will be good , we had lots of wonderful rain and next will be sunshine  oh how I love spring .

Next to look out for and get my nectar feeders prepared for are the Hummers and Oriole’s  cant wait !

Thank you to you all for Papa’s get well wishes , he is back to work and feeling ok , I think he just needed a day of rest as we all do .

Well I am off to take Miggs for a walk whilst the rains have stopped for now and then to hunt for signs of flowers poking above the ground .

Until next time  , Have a good day !

We had thunder boomers here too.
Each morning for a week, a robin has been on the tree outside the bedroom window singing his heart out. I really hope he gets a wife..and we see babies in the tree!

Oh my...thunder storms, warm air, lots of birds, peepers and rain. What a glorious thought! It's freezing rain here at the moment. Nasty! It's supposed to be sunny and much warmer on the weekend. I hope your husband is feeling better. Enjoy the weekend. Pam

Terrific shots! Well, the rain is needed of course. I just wish it would fall between midnight and six in the morning!

Great shots! Looks like there's a lot of wonderful activity around your home. I love this time of year when all these little critters come around. And like you, I really like thunderstorms. The power or Mother Nature!

So nice, after the melting snow you got rain and afterwards sun. With some warmth the green will shoot out of the soil.
Have a nice and sunny weekend!
