Hi everyone hope you all had a nice Easter weekend . We did and it was one of those weekends that were busy at times and not so busy other times of it all .
Papa had Friday off and we were able to get out in the yard , it was cloudy but warm temps hit 15C or 60F that is the warmest it has been all spring so we took advantage of it for sure . Whilst the grass and ground of the yard was wet and sloppy Papa wanted to roll the lawn it helps flatten all the lumps and bumps we get over the winters , Even though we still have the odd snow ice patch hanging around I rolled the lawn anyways and I finally got to use my new tractor Betsy ! Then after I was done that we went for a nice family dinner at Papa’s parents house for a lovely Easter supper and enjoyed with family and friends .
I had to go slow so the roller would work but this old Betsy boy can she go when she is in high gear ! I prefer the older gear driven tractors to the newer hydrostatic ones the older gear driven like my Betsy here are stronger and made far better and less to go wrong with them to .
These older tractors are the ones they use for tractor races they muscle them up a bit and race them and I can see why YEEHAW !!! lol
Isn't it funny the things that make some of us happy lol !
Then Saturday it was a quiet morning so we puttered cause Miggs was going to the groomers in town for the afternoon to get her bath , nails done and to get buzzed into her summer do . So whilst she was in getting that done Papa and I toured the town and did some shopping .
Miggs doesn't look like the same dog at all but she is so much cooler , she even panted like mad outside in the cold and all night at bed time even with the windows open and the fan going but not now she is cool and comfy in her new do !
So that was pretty much our Saturday . Then Sunday rolls around and we wake up to snow falling WHAT ?? are you kidding ?
Early in the morning Mr Bunny was enjoying some breakfast and the snow falling !
Then two Robins were courting on Papa’s tool shed ramp in the snow !
And Miggs … well Miggs is Miggs lol !
I was hoping we didn’t get to much more as it was accumulating like mad I was thinking to myself that we were just getting into having grass again and enjoying it soo much now . But thankfully the temps got warm up to +8 C and all the snow was gone by 3pm in the afternoon FEW !!!
So that was our nice weekend and with wacky weather to boot lol . It is a regular week day today for Papa who is back to work today BOOHOO ! the sun is rising over the valley now and the promise of a lovely sunny and warm day up to 10C or 50F is in the cards for us today the birdies have been singing since early this morning and feasting at the feeders . Finally the temps at night are to be above zero from now on so we are getting there WOOHOO ! and our Miggs will be nice and cool in her new do !

Oh my, where's our Miggs??? You are quite the equipment operator. Nice to see the weather getting better, but it creates some extra work for sure.
I thought at first when I saw the pic that you had a new dog...it takes me a minute to see that it's still Miggs!
The weather is all over the place..warm and sunny one minute...freezing cold and snowing the next.Perhaps Miggs' new 'do' will encourage the warm weather?

That must have been a nice weekend and driving around on ´Betsy´ must have been fun too. Miggs has changed in a very ´cool´ dog, always love to see her.
I am glad you had a happy Easter! Miggs is cute with his new "do". But, then he would always look cute to me.. I wonder if rolling would help our yard, it feels hallow underneath the grass. Too many critters digging holes or tunnels.. Love the pretty robins..Have a great new week ahead!

Yeah, you got to use Betsy. That bit of snow was a shock wasn't it? Glad it didn't last long. Giggs sure looks different with her new spring do. I need to get my hair cut as it is starting to hang in my eyes. I've been doing a few things outside, especially in the afternoons when it is quite nice. I've had fun making my first piles of dried leaves and twigs from the gardens. I think that is my trademark of woking outside. I'll need to get my wagon out and collect them all before the rain comes later in the week. 🌂
Thursday and Friday were nice here. Then ...
TP was always so happy when she got her hair cut. Easier to scratch what itches and easier for her to see. I see Miggs shared her joy of a new spring style.
Any power tools make me very happy!
I'm glad your snow disappeared quickly and oh my goodness, Miggs does look different in her summer coat, but ever, ever, every so adorable. That will never change :))))
Hi Elaine, Loved hearing about your weekend and seeing the photos. Miggs looks so nice with her summer cut. We are having interesting weather too-we'll have a week of warm weather, in the 60's or 70's, and then snow another day. Thursday we are supposed to get rain and sleet; I'd love for it just to stay warm. You look so cute on the tractor.
