Earlier today we went to a lovely Inn in the town of Ingersoll about half an hours drive called the Elm Hurst Inn & Spa , a wonderful big old Victorian mansion . Some of our neighbours who are also our friends , Papa , myself and his parents get together every Christmas time for a meal , chat and a laugh . Sometimes it is at each others homes for pot luck Christmas and sometimes it is at this wonderful Inn !
We were the first to arrive along with Papa’s mom and dad .
Then more and more neighbours started to show up , The brunch was a beautiful buffet of everything you could think of to eat from eggs and bacon , sausage , roasts ! potatoes , salads of every kind and deserts oh my , tea and coffee was poured by our lovely waitress and we had champagne and orange juice mix called a Mimosa YUMMY ! and the plates were whisked away as soon as you were done for the next round . Oh my we left with our bellies stuffed , it was wonderful food and folk ! The Inn was very busy to , lots of other people enjoying the same buffet and atmosphere .
We had a total of 16 people in our party and each party has their own dining room and each room has it’s own name , we were in the Prince Of Wales room . This was our lovely waitress below !
Papa took some photos and I took some as well we brought our little point and shoot !
Yup that's me on the right !
The inside and outside of this Inn is so dreamy and the land scape that surrounds it is in a woods setting , I love it !
This building above is the spa !
It was nice to see everyone mingle , laugh , chat and enjoy the YUMMY ! food . So that was our Sunday mid morning early after noon Christmas get together treat . No supper for us to night we are stuffed , a nap sounds good right about now lol ! I would of liked to of had snow for these outdoor photos of this Inn but it is lovely just the same !
Until next time

What a beautiful place! Looks like a wonderful time!
What a lovely tradition you have there with your family and friends. The place looks fantastic!
It looks like a lovely place. My parents had friends in Ingersoll, but I've never been there.
We've had a couple of great family dinners there, one for myAunt's 100th birthday!
What a beautiful place and looks like a fun relaxing way to start the Christmas season!
It looks like a special place. We had heard about it when we lived in the region, but we never managed to get there.
What a beautiful setting for a Christmas gathering of family and friends.
My husband grew up in Ingersoll and we have been back for a few Pipe band reunions and unfortunately to bury his mom and dad and to just visit. I have seen this lovely Inn on our travels but have not had a chance to stay or have a meal. Your post has inspired me to do just that the next time we are in the area. Thank you for posting.
What a beautiful building for you all to meet in and celebrate Christmas together! xx
What a beautiful place. It would really be nice to go there for a meal. It's fun to do something like that with a group of friends.
