Birds Of A Feather Flock Together
Strange phrase that is , all birds have feathers and flock together well most flock together lol
Our birdies have been feasting since the temps have dropped and we have been getting frost over nights and in the mornings !
Two male Cardinals and one female Cardinal were scratching about our big tree near the feeders .
Then all of a sudden all the birdies took off like a shot as this hawk was about darting in and out of the Cedars and then landed in the back of the yard . I had to be quiet and fast to get a shot or two of him !
Then after the hawk flew away I spotted George on the feeder looking about and trying to figure out how to get to the seed lol !
Then I spotted these guys again as they came back to their feeding spot now that it was safe and the hawk was gone !
Birds of a feather flock together as they all left and returned at the same time . Actually the phrase doesn’t mean anything about birds It really means People tend to associate with those who share similar interests or values don't know why they didn’t call it something else then lol but then you really think about it , it can be associated with birds as this is true for them ! lol !
This phrase is over 450 years
Just a brain tease on phrases here lol ! Things that make you go UMM !! WHAT ? lol !

No Snow Yet But We Have A Frosty Morning
Snow may be hitting later . We have been puttering about enjoying Papa being home and watching movies as well . I took some photos over that past day or so and went out this morning and took some photos of the frost .
These fungi have been getting bigger and spreading over the past few weeks .
All Christmas decoration inside are all packed away now but the outside decorations are still up !
It was a frosty foggy morning in our valley !
The past few days had been mild and with no snow on the ground the Starlings are still hanging around , they should of all migrated by now !
Miggs was with me outside early this morning whilst I was photographing the frost !
As the sun was just starting to rise over the valley in south east !
A flock of geese flew over honking . This is all whilst I am in my jammies with coat and boots on out there lol ! It is cold out and snow maybe on it’s way but for now I will just enjoy the frosty land with my Miggs and Papa .
New years eve is just two days away I don’t bother with the new years resolutions stuff do any of you ?

Boxing Day Sunshine
Hope every one had a wonderful Christmas . I know we did lol !
Well we have sunshine and mild temps for this boxing day . Miggs and I were out walking and then had a game of ball . I cant believe how nice it is out after all the gloomy rainy windy days finally we have sunshine . Still very green here and not a sign of snow in the forecast as of this or next week either but lots of sunshine is in store !
It is like spring out there !!!!
We are enjoying having Papa home for the holidays , he doesn’t have to go back to work till the 5th of January so lots of puttering going on lol , I cant believe another new year is approaching WOW ! time fly’s doesn’t it ?

Santa Paws Came To Our House
Miggs is just like a kid as she had been checking her stocking all week and when she came down stairs this morning she knew she had something in her stocking and went straight to it .
Look Papa , Mama , Santa paws left me stuff in my stocking !!!
What’s that Miggs a new toy ? , oh WOW !!

Oh look Miggs you got a new Hog Hog toy !

Oh my a big biscuit is in there Miggs let Papa help you !

Hey I smell something else in there Papa , yup there was a bag of treats to !
Harley got some things from Santa paws to but she is skittish always has been so Papa did her stocking for her and she played with her new toy a Possum and had a treat from the treat bag Santa Paws left for her !
Off Harley went with her new toy after she gobbled up her treat !
The Girls had a good Christmas morning . Papa and I are just relaxing we had our gifts earlier this year lol ! Later I will prepare our supper of a little turkey and ham with all the trimmings it will be a quiet Christmas for us this year .
Thank you to all for wishing me well with my wisdom being taken out all is good just a little sore it was quite easy as the tooth was already exposed and straight so no major surgery had to be done .

A Busy Time Of Year !
This is one of the busiest times of year as all prepare treats , goody’s , gifts , decorations and family get together’s . Stores are full of shoppers the roads are full of crazy drivers even more at this time of year.
Papa and I are busy and also taking our time with it all and watching Christmas movies in between lol !

WOOHOO !! Sunshine
Finally some sunshine after a week of gloom rain and dampness . It is lovely to see the sun again all though it is chilly . I took this photo from my computer room window as the sun was rising and it is to be with us at least till Tuesday ! So Miggs and I went outside and had fun in the sun !
Our Woodpecker friend Charlie was getting in on the sun fun to lol !
Yup no snow at all we might not even have some for Christmas which is odd for us !
Talking about Christmas like our Charlie brown tree ? lol !
After Miggs and I went for our walk and played in the yard in the sunshine I then went in to do a few things so that I could go out again in the afternoon and Miggs… well…. she had a nap in the sun in the mean time lol .
I went out this afternoon and we had fun again playing in the sun , it is now late afternoon as I type this about 3:30ish pm the sun is weakening and Papa is on his way home from work as Fridays he leaves work at 3:30 pm and he called me and said I am on my way home Mama ! So the weekend looks good with lots of fun and sun as we are going to my in laws for a family Christmas dinner and get together thank fully we don't have to travel to far they live just next door lol and then relax all day Sunday well putter more like it lol ! So looks like a nice weekend ahead for us .

Still Kicking Around
I am still here just have been busy and haven't been taking many photos either as the weather has been YUCKY ! Miggs had to go to the vet yesterday as we noticed she was at her backend more then usual she has a little urinary infection so she is on meds for 10 days she is doing good still a happy bouncy dog lol !
We are slow here this year in getting into the Christmas spirit kind of the weathers fault as it has been rainy and gloomy for a week hoping for some sun tomorrow and the next few days though and the fact that we have no snow on the ground is a kicker for Christmas as well ! We have always had some snow at Christmas time but not thinking we will this year at this rate . Not doing to much decorating as each year I have been making it simpler I find sometimes less is more !
The girls have their stockings up and are waiting for Santa paws to stuff them full of treats and new toys !
Even the birdies are all decked out for Christmas !
I always have these cuties out for Christmas !
We will have our little tree up and decorated by the weekend ! I have been trying to take a moment each day to catch up on all your wonderful posts and see what you are all up to and all your wonderful Christmas decorations .
