November

The weather is chilly and windy now with the odd pop of sunshine . The time change has affected me a bit , probably more then I know lol .

Miggs and I went for our walk this morning as the sun was just rising over the valley trees ! There was a bit of frost but the air was fresh crisp and winds were calm then .  Half the trees are bare whilst others are still in the process of dropping their leaves .

Looks like more leaves to be mulched as the winds blow !

To my surprise the Robins are still here . Looks like they have decided not to migrate but yet adapt to eating seed from under and around the feeders  and I am still hearing the Eastern Blue birds around. I guess with the way the weather has been so up and down  everywhere they figure it is best to stay then travel and struggle  through all kinds of wacky weather !

Our Red Bellied Woodpecker Charlie is back again , he seems to hang here for a bit then disappears for a bit then returns . Nice to hear and see him in the yard again .

Miggs was barking at the crow we call George this morning as he sat in our big tree just above her cawing his head off !

Fall 2013 November (20 of 21)

We were out side for a while this morning after our walk then it started to get very windy and cold so we decided to come in .  November is when the land changes  prepares for a deep freeze , our hours of day light changes  to , air gets crisp and colder  , birds and critters are at the feeders  more often , frost forms on everything  and  if there is to be a sunrise it is golden, clear and beautiful .

November … can be a  cold , gloomy and harsh month  but also a  lovely  month of all sorts , it all depends on how you look at it !

Until next time … have a snap happy day !

It was sunny but chilly this morning and we went for our walk down by the bay. Good thing we bundled up as it was more chilly there ... lots of ducks and Canada Geese and lots of new evidence of the beavers. It's clouding over now. Tuesday we are off to the Royal Winter Fair for the day.

I seen an Eastern Bluebird yesterday I am hoping they are gone soon before that snow that they have out west gets here. B

I always find November a cozy month for some reason.. I guess the fires are on and it is dark so early..
We had fierce winds but they have died down..
Blessings..

November is actually my favorite month as to me it's when fall is fully arrived and before the cone winter weather really sets in. And for me the time change was also welcome as now it will not seem so dark when going to the :Y:.

Good Morning, Our Pelicans are still here and the Canadian Geese come and go. It is cold and windy here too but snow is in the other parts of the state. I'm happy if we have a drier year, because hubby would be happier with little to no snow. I count the blessings every day! Love Miggs watching the crow and how you name all your birds.
Have a warm, delightful day!
Hugs, Noreen
