Papa started this little wood working project the other evening . We have our horse club banquet to go to next Sat and there will be a silent auction and Papa decided to make a few small hand crafted wood working items for it . We will also be taking photo albums of club members riding in the events and maybe just maybe get some more sold . One club member who is also a show judge Christy has bought a lot from us already and thanks to her we now are known for our photos with in the large Amish community we have in the area so when they need photos of their horses to sell either in a magazine or private they call on us now !
Papa has a few more horsey wood working ideas and has all of them blue printed and ready to be made in his wood shop . PSST ! … the good thing is , I get some made for me to hehe !

Wood working .. Oh that reminds me of the tree we have waiting to get taken down from last week when half of it snapped in the wind storm !
Hydro forestry has finally told us they will take the tree down for us in a few days the guy showed up yesterday to mark it for the workers . At the time we were hoping that it is their responsibility as we have heard all sorts .. boy they weren't to quick about letting us know that’s for sure .. good thing Papa strapped it to stop it from falling in the winds we have had , the lady from the hydro forestry Papa talked to said there is a lot of miss information about trees and hydro wires and people do not know what to do . If a tree is hanging over and endangering the live wires it is hydro's responsibility and by law they are the only ones that can take care of it because of the live wires , the don't haul it away but that’s ok with us we will keep some and put the rest with a free wood sign at the end of the drive way it will be gone in no time around here lol … FEW !!! so that will be that all done soon .
Cool this morning 5°C or 41°F but fresh .. a few clouds rolling around but the sun seems to be pushing through !
Any who I am off to take Miggs for her walk .
More wood working projects will be posted as Papa gets them done !
Until next time .. have a good day !

Love Papa's wood carving. It should bring in a good price at the silent auction!!
Hi Elaine.... Great work Papa, and the opportunity from your interest in horses has payed off!!
Glad the tree situation is settled, and the responsibility is off your shoulder to take it down!!

What a nifty horseshoe. :) So nice that you are making items for the silent auction. :) We have the same at our dog club.
really awesome welcome sign! he does good work!
The welcome sign is lovely, I am sure that everyone will like it.
It is cold here today; just got back from taking Hunter on his morning walk. I'm so impressed with your hubby's skill; my hubby is also a wood worker but probably not that intricate. You know you've been married to a wood worker a long time when you go into a wood store and love the smell of the lumber.
Have a great day.
Hugs, Noreen
It is a sunny but coolish day with some winds. We did our walk down to the corner, around the park, and back. It takes about 30 minutes in total and was a nice refreshing walk. We also went to the library this morning. Papa does lovely woodworking projects.
Hi Elaine Great woodwork that Papa has done. I love it.
Afternoon, There are no end to Papa's talent, love the welcome sign, Blessings Francine.
Papa is very talented, I've admired his work before when you've posted this, and this is also a great show of his talent!
The wooden horseshoe is a great idea for the silent auction and all the better for being handmade. Nice to know you are getting some additional photo business from the horse club photos too. Thanks for the update on the tree story too, Elaine.
