Amish Photo Shoot

Yesterday Papa and I went to take photos for an Amish client of his horses he wants to sell .  It was windy and chilly but I had fun . I love photographing the things around the farms .

Fall 2013 November (8 of 122)  Both Papa and I made a friend , their sweet  dog Speckles he would follow us around  .

Lots of old machinery hanging around and that for me is a treat to photograph !

We took standing photos of the horses as well as them trotting along the road to show their posture , stride and character whilst hooked up to the cart !

Some of the Amish do not like their faces exposed or seen on camera so it is a challenge to take photos with out getting their face but with the technology of photo shop and Light room we can successfully either take them right out of the photos or blur them .

Then after we were done taking photos of the horses I took more photos around the farm !

We had fun and met some nice folk . Then we brought the guys in our van to bring them here so that they can pick the photos they wanted for the buyer and a few for them selves of just the horses I think they were very surprised  with what Papa can do with the photos !

It was a good day .  We now have a good rep with in the Amish community here as the horse photographers !

Until next time .. Have a snap happy day !

What a rare and precious opportunity for you to walk around this Amish farm and take photos of the horses, dog, turkeys, equipment. And you even got paid for the horse photos, how good is that!

Wonderful photos today! Beautiful horses too. It's snowing here a bit this afternoon. Started as flurries and now actually sticking to the ground! Thankfully it's melting on the road though. Have a nice evening.

What a great photo pop to be able to wander around and take pics of all the farm stuff and scenics too. Hope your photos help produce horse sales, so you will have a chance to do more photo shoots like this, Elaine.
