The Blogging World

I have been reading from other bloggers they are in what I call  a blogging funk or are fed up with blogging  . I have been blogging for three and a half years now and am also in a blogging funk . Some times I just don’t have anything to post about . I will admit that when I first discovered blogging I was thrilled to share part of my world with others and my photos , I still am, but it tends to get tedious and demanding and the last thing I want to do is bore the heck out of Our Country Cove Crew followers/ friends which I am grateful for sticking with me and for others who have newly joined . Some bloggers have noticed followers have come and gone for what reason we don’t know .

I find that there are all kinds of bloggers out there and it is nice to visit there part of the world and see how and what they are interested in and like to do , kind of like  being the nosey neighbour but with an invite lol . Blogging is  like traveling  the world only  from the comfort of your own home  through cyberspace we connect to others and make friends and share who we are and what we are all about   . There is sadness , mystery , wonder , hope , happiness ,  a few giggles , encouragement  and the occasional  rant much like what we all go through in life  and yes it is nice to know we aren’t all alone in this . Lots of  caring and sharing of how others do things and support to those who need it .

For the paths we take through blogging is the paths we share with others and to have friends we may never meet but know they are there .  In my world it is quiet and I have realized I tend to take the same sort of photos over and over again and yes I can get off track or topic to what I want to blog about but know in blog land there is always some one out there who will  comment and take the time to do so . I am not a writer by any means and do have a habit of keeping things in but do know what I want to say it just may not always come out like I want it to but heck that’s me . I am not always happy and full of joy I am human . I am not a crafts person  or a big cook or baker but do enjoy others who do so , my craft is my photography  be it good or bad  I like to share it with others .  If I had my own photo gallery I would still be sharing it lol !

Fall 2013 (15 of 59)

Blogging gives us an in site to other bloggers that have the same interests and we can help each other out or bloggers who have interests in different things and may introduce us to new in sites and  new interests . There is so much we can learn from other bloggers or just enjoy their world through blogging .

Yes blogging has it’s negatives and positives it all depends on how you look at it , much like life it’s self , but know this , through blogging you will always have friends who  will cheer you along , cheer you up , tell it like it is and always leave a little note to let you know they are there looking and listening or better yet reading of your world be it full of excitement , know how , or just  not about much at all .

A community of bloggers is a community of friends !

I have discovered so much through blogging and am thankful and grateful  to all those out there in blog land who choose to share their world and goings on in their neck of the woods and pop in to mine.    Blogging is like a huge cyber space e book , it may grip you and it may not .

Just had to put this out  there !

Until next time … Have a good day !

i have been blogging for 3 1/2 yrs also and have found it to be a wonderful community. i love having neighbors and friends who happen to live all over the world. :) and we each have our own style; our own method - whether it is sharing personal things, crafts, recipes, nature, whatever.

I've made blog friends and true friends through blogging. As you say ,it's nice to share something as you would with a friend over coffee. I steer clear of those blogs that 'show off',are nasty or just plain mean,or those people who think they are there to teach everybody that their way is the best way. I feel at home here.

That Tex said it perfectly and I for one of many LOVE your photos and I never tire of seeing your skill. I have had the same funk before and I am sure I will again but the best part is with a little rest and all the encouragement from our blogger family we come back refreshed and knowing we are never alone.I always wonder if I keep repeating the same things but I think that is what all of us do after awhile and that is OK. I have been blogging for just over three years and would not give this family up. HUGS HUGS B

Well you said it perfect as I read.

I feel I am connected to your blogs. Or is it Addicted. Ha-ha.

You helped me out when I needed to know what to do with my sons dog who would not eat. Boy was that a help. You were a life saver.

I enjoy your pictures, blogs. Your outside pictures. The whole nine yards. Your hubby and you.

Dont stop blogging. Dont even think of it.

I may not get there when I like . A day late or 20 minutes. We are all the same.

Well for a gal who says she cannot write. Thumbs up!

As my young out going son would say to me.

Aye Nelly slow down when I get talking on the phone or write a email. He said. Mom when you write a email. You write a letter or a Novel.

And I am saying. Dont slow down.

Your great person . Even if I dont know you personally.

You have become my kindred friend It sure feels it.

You feed the mind, feelings, atitudes all the time.

I'm also just over my 3rd year of blogging and still enjoy it. There are some days that I don't have anything to share so I don't. I don't pressure myself to post every single day. I'm always taking pictures so I seldom run out of them unless it's in November or the middle of the winter when one more picture of snow will send someone over the edge. :) Keep on blogging but don't feel you have to do it every day. Blessings, Pam

This is one of my most favorite posts from you. There is so much to be said for blogging, and friendships, even if we haven't ever met in person. I know that with the Autumn progressing it's harder and harder to find things to shoot, or talk about, but sometimes that means a opportunity for reflection.

It was refreshing to have a glimpse into your world today.

Hi Elaine... Well I am still with you, but wasn't able to post comments!
When I clicked on publish the pointer would freeze there!! It was probably only a minute, but long enough to get discouraging! I was giving it a second try but it just keep doing the same!!
Hopefully that is over!!

I always read posts, but will admit that I stay away from those blogger's that get to heavy and long into a subject!!

I can't keep up with the daily posting,I just get blogger block!!
I don't know how you all do that??

A well worded post Elaine, the way I feel too!!

Keep those pic's of Miggs on, I love that pooch!!

Great post Elaine... I think we all get in a blogging funk from time to time... I am coming up on five years with my blog, and my, how things have changed!... I have met many friends throughout the world, like you, who I never would have known otherwise... I always love reading your posts, looking at your gorgeous photos... and seeing what Miggy and Harley are up to... my posts range from Nature, to cooking, to something I have made, to holiday decorating... you name it... I just post what makes me happy and hope it makes someone else happy as well... I never post negative anything... there is enough of that in the world... and I want my blog to be a happy place... I know there is alot of competition these days to be "the biggest, the best" blog... but that's not what it is all about to me... and I avoid those kinds of blogs... I am always happy to welcome a new visitor, but don't try to solicit them or worry about the number of followers I have... if I can make just one person smile, then I am happy... also, I don't post every single day like many do... maybe if you are in a funk, you just need to take a little break from the computer and be outdoors, where your countryside is beautiful and your sweet Miggy is at your side... some days I too think I should up and quit blogging, then I get an email or comment from someone saying how much they enjoyed something I posted, and I remember why I began blogging in the first place... I think our blogs can be a wonderful thing, if we just don't let them consume us... I love the blogs, like yours, where people are REAL and not trying to impress anyone with all their fame and fortune... I feel like I am rich in other ways... my family, and all of the beauty in Nature that I take the time for each day... wow, I have written a novel!... enjoy your day... and keep posting your beautiful photos!... xoxo Julie Marie

Blogging has introduced me to many wonderful efriends. I love seeing their photos, their discoveries, their 4 legged friends, their thrifty finds and so much more. I'm finding I'm so busy lately that I don't have as much time for creative posts. But a rainy day today gave me time to sort through some photos and draft a few posts for later on. I have decided not to put a time frame on my posts ... they will come when they do. I love the interaction via comments and try to reply to each one if tie permits. With cooler weather coming I know I'll have more blogging time. I'm glad to have met you via our blogs and enjoy my cyber visits.

I can really relate to this post. I've been blogging since 2009, and there are times when I run out of things to say. Or share. But I've realized that everyone feels that way from time to time, so I've learned to live with it. I love the blogging world, and don't intend to quit anytime soon. I've met so many interesting and wonderful people from around the world, and it's these people that make blogging so appealing. And I honestly don't care what they post. Even if they share a single image and a couple of words to go with it, I enjoy hearing from them. And it's the variety of posts that I really like. Some are more serious, others less so. Some write lengthy posts, some just a few words. Some share videos, photos, funny images. Others write about important topics, and work on making a difference in the world. No matter what, it's all good. Variety. Yes, that's what I like. How boring it would be if we were all the same.

Normally you are a woman of few words, but not this post. You said what many of us feel, and I thank you for that. I love reading blogs, and learning things from others whose lives are so different from our own. I don't post everyday, but try to put something that is going on in my life every few days. Again thank you for expressings my feelings to a tee.

blogging for me has been a wonderful experience, I have found a family of like minded folks who offer me support, and joy, I have even been lucky enough to meet a few in person(which is wonderful) I used to post quite often, then this summer, time just got away on me, I notice the comments are down too, but it is what it is , I always enjoy seeing your photos and reading ,especially about Miggy , and those beautiful Cardinals , funny thing that, I am enraptured with a bird I never saw here! I only first saw them 25 years ago when I was in London Ont , and they just fascinate me!

HI Elaine What a well written article and all very true. Even I who have only been blogging for over 6 months have felt like this but I think I put myself on too much pressure to post everyday. I love reading your posts and seeing your photographs and know what you are up to. You live in a different part of the world from me so I get to know different things. I love learning and even over the past 6 months I have learned many things from various bloggers. As you say, it is a great way to have cyber friends although personally I would love to meet some of them and see where they live myself but for now, blogging will have to surfice. I have not been able to look at ANY blogs for the past week and I missed that but today I am trying to catch up and have looked at all your posts now. Loved seeing Miggs again. He is so photogenic.

I have been blogging since September '08. I have ups and downs. We all do.

I wonder sometimes why but there are a few people interested in what I say.

I've met many people who I consider friends although I may never meet them they are there to talk.

Two thousand two hundred and eighty-three posts and I'm still going. There are days when I write little and sometimes I go on and on.

People reach out and change our lives through their blogs.

Keep going.

Your pictures are beautiful, today as always.

Love your blog! I know I have written to you before to thank you for sharing your life with all of us. Your photos I never tire of...just beautiful. I think I have been reading your blog for a year or less. I don't have a blog, but I love to read others's blogs. I never tire of pics of your Miggs and Harley or the birds or the flowers and your yard. You do great work taking pictures. Again thank you for sharing with all of us.
