Papa’s New Toy

Yup.. Papa got a new toy , a Toro leaf blower/mulcher . Yesterday when he came home from work just before it rained he did a bit of clean up !

Fall 2013 (4 of 34)

A lot easier and quicker then raking for hours that’s for sure !

Fall 2013 (12 of 34)

Miggs seems to like the piles of leaves he was making !

Fall 2013 (15 of 34)

Then Papa had to get her out of the leaves so he could continue !

Fall 2013 (17 of 34)

I guess Miggs doesn’t take kindly to it blowing at her and decided to get out of the pile quick !

Fall 2013 (31 of 34)

I just had to get a few shots of leaves being blown in mid air  lol .. always testing my photography !

Fall 2013 (26 of 34)

Then after Papa got all the leaves in a big pile .. time to vacuum  and mulch them  up !

Fall 2013 (34 of 34)

Miggs thought that was weird vacuuming leaves but she was there to help … more like supervise lol

A big pile done in no time and then after  we had a big wind storm during the night with rain , lost power for a few hours this morning and one side of our tree at the end of the drive came down into the field next to us . I will post photos of that tomorrow . Still very windy now and raining . So starts the leaf blowing and mulching when the winds have died down and the rains have stopped !

Until next time .. have a snap happy day !

Oh that is a big job for hubby. That raking before.

Oh laughing at Miggs face her sitting in the leaves and then to move. I tell you she has her expressions so well put for a dog.

An expression she is very upset.

Nice pictures. You mad emy afternoon. Poor Miggs.

A man has to have his toys doesn't he? A good job done with a lot of help. Sounds like a nasty storm last night taking the tree down. And now, more clean up. It never ends it seems.

Nice new toy for Papa to play with. Hubby has a leaf sweeper that goes behind his riding mower ... cuts, rakes, sweeps, picks up all in one go. The toys these boys have :)

Looks like the dog is enjoying it too.

I'm glad Papa and Miggs both enjoyed the new toy--She did a great job supervising!

We have one of those too, makes our leave chores easier. Chance loves to chase the leaves:)

Oh, I want a new toy like that! It would be so much easier to ready the leaves for mulching.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Great inventions those leave blowers are. Hubby gets real creative with ours. He blows it on the fire pit, to get the fire started quicker. He uses it to 'sweep' out the garage, and 'sweep' off our porches!!!

We don't have a Toro, but they are a useful toy. I've used ours a few times and it makes short work of gathering and chopping up the leaves for the compost pile.
Our dog is not keen on the loud sound of the machine.
