My Little Indoor Garden

With my African violets , Cactus and a few other plants indoors all year round and then I bring in my Geraniums , I have a little indoor garden through out the colder months !

Fall 2013 (8 of 8)

All in my living room windows . I like having plants indoors that bloom through out the cold months  it makes it a bit easier and nicer to cope with when the weather keeps you indoors more !

Fall 2013 (2 of 8)

This is quite an old Cactus and has bloomed for years at least 3 times a year  for me and it is pretty when in full bloom !

Fall 2013 (3 of 8)

This Cactus I started from a gift basket I got a few years ago  it to is very pretty when in bloom !

Fall 2013 (6 of 8)

Oh and my African Violets, my mum got me into these cuties  years ago , also have been with me for some time , I have five plants of these and each are a different colour and they bloom sometimes all together or one after the other .

Fall 2013 (4 of 8)

Then I have my Geraniums I bring in each year and they are all different colours as well . Some are at the end  or are just starting to bloom ! They also bloom through out the cold months .

It is chilly out today but as you can see the sun is shining in these photos and the winds are blowing as big puffy clouds float over head and all around us !

I still have some out door clean up to do in the gardens but no hurry if I don't get it done before the snow fly’s I will do it in the spring !

I will just enjoy my little indoor garden blooms … frost free ! !

You have a real pretty indoor garden, just love all these photos. It's chilly here this morning. At 11.08 I am still in my jammies with a throw-rug over me ;) Lazy me had better get going I guess :)

It was a frosty morning today. Your indoor garden is in a lovely sunny spot. My big windows face north and are not the best for plants.

The only plants we have indoors are overwintering rosemary from the garden...which we HAVE to bring in this weekend!

Your photos are gorgeous! I love geraniums, but they always die in the spring after barely staying alive through the winter. No idea what I'm doing wrong. Have a great weekend!

Your indoor garden looks wonderful. I only have one plant upstairs and it's a Hoya which hangs from a hook in the ceiling between the living and dining rooms. I hasn't bloomed for a few years now. I have a Christmas cactus and a jade plant downstairs in the office. That's it. I kind of gave up on indoor plants over the years so 3 is enough. I do have two geraniums that I brought in to overwinter. I'll try it and see how they do.

A cup of tea in the morning on that spot near the window would be just fine for me !

Your indoor garden is wonderful. I'm wishing for a bay window someday. also, thanks for showing bits of your African Violets. They remind me of my Grandmother who loved them so. You are fortunate to have a Thanksgiving Cactus that blooms so abundantly. It's gorgeous already.

Lovely indoor garden! I love the cacti that bloom during the cold months; they are such pretty plants. And there are so many gorgeous winter blooming plants to enjoy in the upcoming months. Another favourite of mine is the Amaryllis! What a spectacular show it puts on.

Thank goodness for houseplants and any type of indoor greenery; we need some of that to make the Canadian winters a little more tolerable!

I have no problem gardening outside, but indoor plants! You either have a green thumb for them or not. I have a few diehards but because of travel, keep houseplants to a bare minimum. You have a good number of plants to enjoy in sunny places. Thanks for sharing them.

Pretty plants you are lucky to be able to have them inside. Flowers indoors make us both sick...so all ours are outdoors...frozen right now:)
