WOW its October already !
It wasn’t looking very good last night again to capture the Harvest moon . I was looking out my kitchen window as it faces east watching the clouds floating by in that direction with out a care in the world , although it did look soo pretty with the clouds and the orangey pinkness of the sun setting in the west refection on the clouds and the valley forest !
I went out on the front porch took a few photos of the top of the valley and sat in my rocking chair with camera in hand in hopes the clouds thin out in the east ! It was lovely , cool fresh air the echo of dogs barking and kids playing in the area , the sound of the farm down the road, crickets chirping whilst I sit and wait for the rise of the Harvest moon !
The clouds also made it extra dark ! You can just barely see the tree tops amongst the cloud there !
The clouds hung around but I love how it makes it look mysterious and spooky !
I took about 150 photos as the clouds moved and made a different looking scenery every time !
The Harvest moon rises for three nights in a row it rose Sat night , last night and will rise again tonight but last night the second night is the night it is at it’s best !

The clouds thinned just in time. Great shots. Oh and your description of the sounds of your neighborhood made me want to be sitting in the other rocking chair!!
I love taking pictures of the moon. I got up last night at 2 a.m. and boy oh boy the moon was shining so bright..I regret now that I didn't go outside and take pictures.. I love those pics with the clouds.. Makes things look mysteriously spooky.
