Feeling Like A Duck

The rains have been here since last Friday and it is only gona get worse when this storm Sandy decides to hit South western Ontario .

I braved the cold rain to make sure my birdies had food and Papa took some photos whilst Miggy who loves the rain  and I were out there   .

Miggy didn’t want to look at Papa taking the photo cause the wind was blowing the rain in her eyes !

Opening my potting shed to get the birdies food . Yup I’m a shorty ! I was getting dripped on from the roof in my face !

I needed my step stool to take down one of the suet feeders from the tree as it was empty and I didn't have a refill for it ! I figured they have 9 other feeders of seed so they should be ok !

At this point Miggy was already at the door and I was cold and yet Papa kept taking photos even when I thought he had stopped  nope he snuck in a bunch , with my rubber boots and yellow rain gear I felt like a duck !

                                                                         Quack , Quack !!

Those are great rainy day photos. Love your raincoat. I need one of those right now :) Sandy's heading our way so I don't know how much longer I am going to be on line, but I sure am not going anywhere right now. You all stay safe and warm too :)

It certainly is duck weather...wow how wet. But the birds will appreciate the extra food from you.

Stay dry.

Hi Elaine, we have yellow raincoats too, but we are staying indoors as Sandy is pounding outside with over 6.5 inches of rain since Sunday afternoon and gusting winds with more to come. And we are staying indoors safe and sound with thankfully no high water near us, aside from the usual backyard flooding where the cars are parked. Thankfully, we still have power and have contacted family and friends in other east coast states to make sure they are safe. Great photo of papa and Miggy!

Stay safe ~ it's really blustery here in Harrow, Ontario. Sandy has hit with winds upwards of 90 km. Cold, damp and rainy for the next couple of days.
Sounds like a good reason to have a cup of hot chocolate ;-)
