Nature In Our Yard !

This time of year we get all kinds of creatures and critters in our yard . Some we see and some we only see evidence of !

The Nature I see I try to capture it the best I can , but some can be a bit tricky at times and like to toy with me .

Like this hummer , he loves to play with me when I have the camera as if to say catch me if you can! Well hummy I think I did . They are soo fast .

I have my camera on continuous so that I may get a few good shots out of the amount I take !

Then we have the Cicada . A strange bug that when I was a kid we called them hydro bugs cause they make a sound like the hydro wires that were along the dirt roads of our hobby farm.

Then we have the many breeds of the beautiful butterfly’s that visit our gardens !

I was making supper at the time and saw this butterfly in our centre garden as I looked out my kitchen window and just had to photograph him !

We have so much nature going on in our yard I could sit there for days taking photos and still not be able to capture it all but I am grateful for the photos I do  manage to get !

Until next time hope you have a great day !

So seriously, how long did you stand there to get the hummer. I tried to photograph them, I lost interest after about 20 minutes. I did get some OK shots, but nothing with both wings fluttering. Maybe next time I try. Like I always say, a good photograph is a good eye, and being at the right place at the right time. The camera only enhances the picture.

Sounds like me, I stop in the middle to cooking to run out to take some shots. I forget and come back to some over cooked meals on the stove.

Beautiful photos. The hummers have started getting possive of the feeder so I know its time to get a few more out. They are feeding up for the long flight in a few months.

Nice shots! The butterfly shot is stunning!

It's so fun to watch nature buzzing with life and capturing it with the camera is even more fun and challenging!

Your photos are beautiful, especially the hummingbird. Those cicadas must be what I hear at night making a very annoying sound. I would love it if you stopped by my Pet and Claws Pet Day on Friday. I have seen your cute dog and cat on your post and sidebar and thought you might enjoy the funny post about Jackson the mischievous cat.
