Happy New Year !
Hope every one had a nice New Years Eve. Papa , myself and fur babies had a nice quiet evening !
I got up this morning, put the kettle on and replaced last years calendars with this years . Whilst I was waiting for the kettle I saw a nice sun rise just starting so I went out and took photos of the First New Years Day sunrise of 2012 ! Yup Papa and Miggy were still snoozing !

We haven’t see much sun for the past week , it has been cloudy and rainy !
Well looks like no sun today either all those big black clouds in the back are now upon us and have hidden the sun ! Oh well ! Maybe sun shine another day !
Today I am spending the best part of the day taking down the Christmas decorations !

beautiful pictures, there is something extra special about a morning sunrise, each different from God's coloring book..I like looking at clouds too, the ones in your pictures have interesting shapes, and look like they are painted on with brushstorkes..so pretty..Happy New year. Off today, moving the hook a bit, and relaxing.:)

Your photo's are beautiful of the sunrise, and the dark sky ones are very dramatic looking..so sorry it didn't stay sunny..but it is a good time to take down the decorations..
Yesterday we had freezing rain and this morning is sparkling in the sunlight and of course it has warmed up to 40f and I planned on taking down my decorations today..maybe I will skip that and get outside after yesterday's shut in day ..should have taken that stuff down yesterday, New years day is my traditional take down day, but I didn't do a darn thing yesterday ..should have done it then hahaha!!

We too had a quiet at home celebration and it was a challenge staying up till midnight, lol, must be getting old!
