Bits n Bobs & Crafts

Yesterday Papa started out the day  with doing bits & bobs around the house , Papa took the cutting deck off of the tractor and cleaned it up to be stored till next summer then Papa put the snow blade on and I helped him put the chains on the back tires and the weights. Then when we were done I stood there and looked at him and said “ now what” ?  Then I remembered our local community centre was having a craft sale and we both love craft sales and shows, so we packed ourselves and Miggy in the truck and off we went to the community center. As we entered there was a 2 dollar entry fee that goes towards the craft sale and you get tickets for door prizes. There were 2 levels full of wonderful hand made things, knitted baby cloths, hats, mittens, scarves, wood crafts and oh so much more. Papa and I walked the isles looking at all the great talent and talking to so many wonderful folk . I didn't see anything that really jumped at me  don't get me wrong it was all wonderful but even at craft sales and  craft shows it has to jump out at me for me to buy it . Then we heard a number being called over the loud speaker it was ticket 722 well Papa pulled the tickets out of his pocket and sure enough it was 722 WOOHOOO ! I wonder what we won.

And this is what we won a pretty hand crafted  heart ! I love it

I had said to Papa what  would it  take to be in some of these craft shows and sell his custom made wood picture frames and easels and for both of us to sell our photos  in them . So I think I may push the idea on this and investigate.

After  the craft sale we went to town picked up a few things, I bought a new pair of sleep pants with horses on. I love wearing sleep pants and an old sweat shirt as  jammies   I know weird ! and then came home. Today we are just puttering around as we do every Sunday as Sundays here are relax day!

Until next time hope you all have a great day !

Lucky you!

I'm always amazed at the talent at craft shows/fairs.

Good luck finding out about entering a craft fair. Hubby & I have talked about it but have never checked into actually doing it.

Enjoy your relaxing day!

Hey there, thanks for stopping by. With that lovely and fun comment I just had to come over and say hello. I've enjoyed my visit here too and loved everything you have to share, including your sweet little dog and all the lovely pictures. I too enjoy craft shows but have never been lucky enough to win anything. Beautiful heart you took home. I used to be a vendor at craft shows for many years but had to quite in the 80s. I cut out and painted wooden ornaments until my fingers starting screaming back at me with all the hours and use I put them through but it was a labor of love. It's something I really miss but still enjoy going to craft shows. In fact last weekend I was in Virginia Beach and went to one hosted by The Sons of Norway and picked up all kinds of neat Christmas gifts for family and friends. Well, it's been great meeting you and I will be back. Have a great week. Denise :)

I agree Craft Sales are fun. I mainly just look, and gather ideas. At this stage of the game, I'm trying to pare down and simplify. Less stuff!! Have a great week.
