THANKSGIVING WEEKEND POEMS

Thanksgiving Delights

On Thanksgiving Day we’re thankful for
Our blessings all year through,
For family we dearly love,
For good friends, old and new.

For sun to light and warm our days,
For stars that glow at night,
For trees of  many colors and skies of blue,
And puffy clouds of white.

We’re grateful for our eyes that see
The beauty all around,
For arms to hug, and legs to walk,
And ears to hear each sound.

The list of all we’re grateful for
Would fill a great big book;
Our thankful hearts find new delights
Everywhere we look!

Thanksgiving Friends

Thanksgiving is a time
For reviewing what we treasure,
The people we hold dear,
Who give us so much pleasure.

Without you as my friend,
Life would be a bore;
Having you in my life
Is what I’m thankful for.

Thanksgiving Ghost

The last piece of apple pie is gone;
How did it disappear?
The bowl of delicious stuffing
Has also vanished, I fear.

It happens each Thanksgiving,
When leftover goodies flee,
And each of us knows the responsible one
Couldn’t be you or me.

The only way it could happen
Is readily diagnosed;
It must be the crafty, incredibly sneaky,
Still hungry Thanksgiving ghost.

       FUNNY POEM !

May your stuffing  be tasty

May your turkey be  plump,

May your potatoes  and gravy

Have never a lump.

May your yams be  delicious

And your pies take  the prize,

And may your  Thanksgiving dinner

Stay off your  thighs!

those poems are so good! are they original adn if so can i use them in november? i love your little buttons. and that red barn pic. that is really really good! i know thanksgiving is bitter sweet for you now just as christmas (last time i saw dad) is for me. thank you so much for your kind words. it helps when others understand though i hate the thought that others must suffer in order to truly understand!
