I have changed my garden flag to my spring flag  and as I was doing that Papa yelled out to me hey look Alvin is out under the feeders  that's one of our Chipmunks and this morning when Miggs and I were on our walk I finally saw and heard  the beautiful song of our Song Sparrows in the field ,  now all our spring birds and critters are back  WOOHOO !

In the evenings as the sun sets  the Robins have been gathering in our birch tree singing their pretty song and chirping to one another .

The other day I counted 16 of them all in the tree ! Music to my ears  is our birdies !

Dovey was up on Papas shop cooing away to !

Our snow has gone more now from these pics below.  We have lots of male and female Cardinals who gather at sun set  and after the sun sets as it becomes dusk  to feast whilst all the other birds are tucked in to bed  . At one point I counted a total of 8 males and 5 females and then in a split second as soon as they heard me off they scattered !

Miggs is happy spring is close to as she has been trying to be outside more  in the warm sunshine on the nice green grass .

The sun has been shining here and there and the temps have been fair  on the plus side of zero so that's good  . I looked about the gardens and saw that lots of our spring plants are poking above ground more and more each day  cant wait for them to bloom .

                                                                                        So I would like to

It actually feels a little warm out there today, well certainly warmer than the weather we've had lately. I just bought a new spring flag on Friday, just have to get it up, usually wait for the first full day of spring. That's great you have spied your chippy out and about and all the spring birds. The sparrows are busy with eh front birdhouse so that is promising. Enjoy the day and the arrival of spring.

Interesting how the cardinals stay up a bit later...night hawks. lol
I am so happy to have spring arrive. We will be awhile getting rid of our snow but it's melting fast.I'm just back from a walk and was serenaded by robins the whole way. :) "Hi Miggs"

I can't believe all your spring birds have returned already!! I haven't seen or heard any here yet. I love the pic of all the cardinals. You are so lucky to have so many around. Happy Spring to you Elaine. It will be a while coming here but at least we know it's coming. :)

I haven't seen any munks, but the first robins of the season showed themselves to me on the weekend.

Welcome Spring! I thought I heard (but haven't seen) a robin singing yesterday here in Saskatchewan. We're expected to stay above freezing temps for the rest of the month so hopefully spring will arrive here soon too. My flower bed, however is still covered in snow and ice as it faces north.

Enjoy!

Hi Elaine, happy Spring!! I love seeing the birds arrive, yours will be ahead of ours. My husband saw one Robin about a week ago which is a wonderful sign. Enjoy your week ahead!
