Tonight's full moon rises just eight days before the vernal equinox, or spring. The Full Worm Moon will light up the skies today (March 12) and it marks the last full moon of the winter season.
I took this photo all though very cropped with my fave lens my 55-300mm telephoto zoom lens with Vibration Reduction built in as all my lenses have and all are light weight to and I take all my photos hand held . I use this lens all the time especially for my nature photography . My settings for this shot were ISO 800 at 1/400 at F/ 10 taking photos of the moon has been a challenge in the damp cold air as the air creates an extra glow around the moon and distorts its look in photos for there can be to much reflection with in my lens , however I could use a polarized lens but that would be to easy lol ! I have always been intrigued by the moon and found it to be such a beautiful sight in the night sky's !
Spring is only 8 day away WHOOHOO !
Until next time .

Wonderful capture!
Beautiful photo, good to know all the specs. I'm calling it the birthday moon as it came between my birthday and our daughters.
Great moon shot!
