Sunset At The End Of A Rainy Day

 

The weather has been up and down again but at least we have been having rain and not snow which is a good thing  and fairly mild to . We are green here and becoming greener each day as spring draws closer and closer  .  It has been fairly quiet here  so I haven't had much to post about really till this evening when after the rain stopped for a few hours and the clouds departed . I looked out my kitchen window as I do all the time as I was cleaning up the dishes after supper and  there it was , bright orange and soo pretty to see the sun set from the west shine to the east on the tops of the valley trees  , such a pretty sight  and a great way to end on a rainy day .

As I was inside taking photos of this pretty orange glow to the east I saw to the west another pretty glow as the sun was setting deep into the horizon and behind our trees in the back 40 .

 

It was all so  calming and beautiful  to see this and  to hear the Robins singing their songs and chirping as the sounds of Tundra Swans and Geese fly over in the distance making their sounds  and other birds  softly saying good night tucked up in the cedar hedges by the house and around the yard  , with a distant sound of a dog barking  as the sun lowers even more on the horizon . Things like this make me smile and make me  love nature even more for it is ever so beautiful in sight and sound .
