We Got Some Of The Snow Storm

Yup we did . We are all white again after weeks of being green . We were hit with the snow storm from yesterday morning through to earlier today in total we only  got about 3cm  or just over 1 inch 1.18  inches to be exact lol   but the winds are very gusty still on and off and what snow we have is blowing about and it is very cold out  to . We lost internet and cable for a few hours this morning  but all good now . The good news in the weather is we are in for a bit of a warm up and plenty of sunshine as of tomorrow  WOOHOO !

I took a few photos from inside my windows earlier this morning  where it was nice and warm  .

A winter wonder land again after one and a half days of a snow storm  , doesn't take long to accumulate does it ?!

MARCH 2017 (11 of 11)

The birdies are feasting like mad at these feeders here close to the house and the feeders in the back whilst the winds and snow blow about .

MARCH 2017 (4 of 11)

I had to change my seed cage feeders to Safflower seed as the hundreds of Grackles or rather bully birds we call them don't  keep pushing the little birdies away from the feeders . The only birds that do not eat the Safflower seed here are the black birds  and  they thankfully leave the Nyjer  seed alone all the time to .

The Cardinals were out in full force this morning to as I had 5 males and three females flapping about under the feeders and in and out of our  cedar hedges near the feeders  , but do you think they would all stay still together for a photo ? NOT a chance lol !

The sun is popping out every now and then right now so with a bit of luck this storm will all be over sometime today , I hope .

Snow coming down here, since the early hours and won't stop till tomorrow morning. The plows have bben by several times but we didn't venture out today. I took down my suet and peanut feeders so those bully birds don't eat it all. We always have a couple of safflower feeders for the cute birds. They don't mind the snow and have been around wondering where the suet is. Stay warm and enjoy the views from the windows.

Nice photos, Elaine. We are still in the midst of the storm...all day now and it is to go until tomorrow. I am counting the days 'til spring. Some of our spring flowers are poking through the ground now.

The birds must be quite put out with the return of snow.

It started here around dawn and is still going on.

Hello, I heard we had some snow back in Maryland. It was a mild winter and now it decides to get cold and snow. I love your Goldfinches, pretty feeder birds. Have a happy day!

Don't get me started on people hiding their email addresses.

I just read the explanation on leaving a comment, Elaine, and am unsure IF I am doing this correctly. I do enjoy seeing your photos and have left comments from time to time, but not on every post, as sometimes there's not enough time in the day. Thanks for all the lovely pics in case you didn't see previous comments.
