A Bit Of This &That

Well we made it through the snow storm that has reeked havoc on so many others and we came out unscaved FEW !!  We didn't get a lot of snow  but  the winds were wickedly cold . But yesterday and so far this morning the sun has been shining the odd snow  has been floating falling about  here and there and we are slowly starting to melt on the ground as  the sun is gaining more and more strength  and the ground is warming up once again .

The story to this photo . 20170314_180535

Miggs is now wearing one of Papa’s old T-shirts for a bit whilst she is inside  ..  she has a few lumps and bumps on her called fat deposits and they are ok  when we took her to the vet before about these the vet said as long as they move about a bit under the skin and are not hard  they are ok  but every now and then the one on her shoulder bursts and dogs cant wear human bandages on the one spot  and we don't have vet wrap  here so we had to think of something to mainly stop it from bleeding and oozing all over the house , so we cleaned it up  put a bit of pollysporen on it  in  and around the  tiny hole and put  the T-shirt on her to protect it and the house whilst it heals thank goodness she cant lick it cause she is a licker if she can reach any owie we call it  and we have to make sure to not let her roll  well it has been a chore on that one cause she loves to roll inside and out lol  but it is healing , the vet said if it empties every now and then that's a good sign  good but YUKKY to see the stuff coming out of it fat and blood  ok I wont gross you out any longer , we keep the T-shirt off when she goes outside to let it air out a bit and watch over her so she doesn't roll  as soon and we see her start to go down of course on that side always  we yell AAA and that reminds and stops her for now    . Funny thing is now when she comes in from being outside she sits and waits to have her T-shirt put back on   . Miggs is ok always the happy go lucky girl no matter the problem and that's the main thing .

I think the Easter Bunny has arrived here already lol  as this big Bunny was out and about yesterday feasting on seed under the feeders  , yes they will resort to eating bird seed when the grass is covered with snow .

Bunny is  playing peekaboo with the camera and I as he noticed me on the patio across the yard .

My  Geranium plants have been dormant this year for most of the season but look what I saw earlier on one of them the one that is my favorite colour .

MARCH 2017 (2 of 3)-2

Such a pretty salmon pink with the slightest  hint of white in the petals such a vibrant flower . Then I spotted more on the other side of the plant  oh good looks like it will be in full bloom soon  now to have the other Geraniums bloom to  then I will have my little green house inside back like it did last year  to welcome in spring  that is just 4 days away .

I would like to wish you all a

Ouch for Miggs! The bunny's come through the bulk of winter well enough, but I'm sure he or she will be happy when spring settles in.

Hope you are doing better Miggs, those lumps and bumps are annoying. Sunny today, still chilly but a bit if the snow is melting awat. Every little bit helps.

Hi, Great idea for Miggs. I can't wait for spring to arrive, but it takes a lot longer here-we can't plant until after Mother's Day.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!
Hugs,
Noreen

Miggs sure looks spiffy in the borrowed t-shirt, which I guess is hers now :-) Glad you survived the latest winter storm which left us with about 12 in. followed by cold temps, so the melting is slow going this week. The bunny brings back memories of when we used to see them in our yard at the VA home, but not here in the city. Looks like the one in your yard has been well fed during the winter.

Oh I hope Miggs is going to be okay. Poor thing. How fun to see the bunny in your yard. He looks big. The geranium bloom is beautiful! I didn't save any this past year so will start fresh.
