About Our Yard

The weather has cooled right off and feels more like fall  now as the air becomes crisp and chilly .

I went about the yard yesterday  taking in all that is about , like my English daisies that just love the cooler weather .

I was surprised to see how many flowers are still blooming this time of year in the gardens despite the temps

                                                                                                    cooling off  .

Miggs follows the sun about as she snoozes in its still warmth . She loves the outdoors just as much as I do .

We are in a frost warning for the night so with a bit of luck it will be all frosty  and a new canvas for me to get out and enjoy early in the morning with my camera in hand and  my buddy Miggs  by my side .

Seasons are full of different wonders and beauty in each and every one .

Frost warning here last night, and zero degrees when we hit the sack, but this morning it actually seemed warm out and no frost at all. All because some cloud cover moved in I guess.

What lovely flowers, though time must be short for them now.

Beautiful photos Elaine. Our summer flowers are still hanging in there but tonight's frost may do them in. My fuchsia is still going strong but it is time to put it to bed I think. Enjoy the weekend.

We had frost overnight, finished off the last of some blooms. The grass is getting trimmed today and the leaves shredded. The pots of hostas are just about ready to go into storage for the winter.

We sure had a beautiful day here today, I got a bit of the gardens cleaned up. We also have a few flowers still in bloom and it's hard to cut things down when they still look good. Even the hostas are hanging on. I love your garden flag, very cute.

Thanks for the lovely yard tour, Elaine. Your fall flowers look really nice and colorful and the blue jay did seem to pose for you. I also liked the small birds and do miss being able to photograph them as I did for years when we lived in VA.
