Well we had a nice relaxing week that Papa was off of work for his companies mid winter shut down and today is his last day as it is family day here in Ontario then back to the grind for him , It was nice to have him home though . Papa was sick with a sinus cold and now I have it go figure lol !
I managed to take some photos over the past few days though .
One morning I saw all these Cedar Waxwings sitting in our crab apple tree feasting off of the berries . Every other year we seem to get these pretty birds stop off on their migration path .
The sky that day was a white wash the kind of sky I dont like taking photos in really but oh well .
This guy fiddled and fiddled with this berry for a long time then dropped it , the look on his face was funny afterwards kind looked like he may of said a few choice words after all that work lol .
The birdies have been feasting like crazy for the week , I have had to fill their feeders every day but thats ok I like to make sure they are happy and they keep us entertained for it lol !
Mr & Mrs Cardinal out for a feast .
Lots of Cardinals here still as it is their mating time and the Mr’s have been singing their hearts out trying to impress the ladies, all though I dont think it is working right now lol .
We also have had lots of Goldfinch and Pine Siskins feasting at the feeders and ground feeding with the Juncos .
We have had snow squalls on and off most of the week but yesterday we had a lovely day of sunshine and today back to windy gloomyness with snow blowing about .
This is all happening just out side from our patio at our big old tree !
I really have to move Miggs swing out of the way lol !
Our valley scene from yesterday in the sun shine !
Yesterday was Valentines Day and these two were sitting together on the tree it was cute !
I like to try and capture snow falling as it is quite the challenge !
The weather was a mix of all sorts then past few days and I love it when the sun comes out after it has snowed as the sky takes on a strange colour in areas and the sun shines on newly fresh fallen snow .
And of course Miggs like’s new fallen snow and sunshine to !
Well thats it for me my eyes are watering like mad with this sinus cold and it is hard to see my key board and screen lol ! Lots of cups of tea and toast today as that is my favotite things to have when I have a cold and in my jammies with my blanket , my Miggs beside me , Papa home , the fire place on and we are watching movies today all cozy .
Until next time .

You've got one or two tight shots. Are they cropped or do you have a big zoom?
Hi Elaine - I just loved seeing all your birds today. Your feeders are bedlam just like mine. Hundreds of birds are eating here these last few days. It feels good to help them through these cold days. Loved that first photo...wow! Get better soon and give Miggs & Harley a hug for me. Deb
Hope your cold doesn't last long!
Wonderful photos of the birds, what an amazing lot of birds you have visiting too! Whole flocks of them!!! Hope that you are both feeling much better soon and over your nasty colds. xx
Get better soon...love your photos of your feathered friends.

Good morning, I hope you feel better soon! I love all the birds and your cute Miggs. Take care and stay warm! Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
What a flurry of activity your feeders are! You got some really nice shots of the cedar wax wings. They're such a pretty, sleek bird. I always like how Mr & Mrs Cardinal hang out together ... like an old married couple ;) Sweet shot of the lovebirds you got! We are getting some deep snow today. Hope you feel better soon!

The birds seem to be having a feast. Sinus colds are bad enough, as long as it doesn't become a sinus infection, because only meds will get rid of that.
We're getting a good deal of snow today.
Oh that last paragraph sound perfect to me. Warm and cozy. Hope you feel better soon. Your bird pictures are amazing. Sweet Miggs should make you feel better...just looking at that face.
The birds are so beautiful - the Cedar Waxwings like little golden ornaments on the bare tree. You certainly have a lot of bird-variety around your place!
No snow here, and I envy the cosy fire...perfect for a winter's day, rain or snow.
