From My Windows

I have been taking photos from inside as the winds and temps have been bitterly cold and some what gloomy these past few days  . I have managed to layer up and take Miggs for a quick walk , fill my feeders and back in again . The temps have been -15°C  feeling like -25°C  or  5°F  feeling like -13°F  BRR !

Mr Cardinal was interested and facinated by some thing over by the feeder and our big old tree garden !

Looking and trying to figure something out by his body language here lol !

Guess he gave up with that and turned looking at some thing else , I think he has a bit of  spring fever lol . It is mating season for them and Mr Cardinal was on the look out for his Mrs Cardinal  , they have been chirping and singing their mating song all day every day .

Whilst he was searching about for who knows what, the other birds were gobbling up seed like no tomorrow !

The sky became some what clear at about 5pm and the sun was shining it’s beautiful colours in the clouds as it started to set and sink into the western horizon .

It also shone its beauty into the east over our valley  .

I love how the sun sets later each day and rises earlier each morning  now .

This is this mornings sun rise .

The sun is  popping in and out of the clouds now . We are in for intence snow squalls today so it will be another indoor day all cozy and puttering about .  I know we have had a fairly mild snowless winter but , Come on Spring !!

                                                                                   Until next time .

It's really cold and windy here too. We did go into town this morning but were as quick as could be. The cardinal sure is lovely and bright. Haven't seen ours around today but the starlings are attacking the feeders.

Cardinals in the snow, so very beautiful. For us these birds look so exotic and I understand they can stand the cold.
Your views from behind the window are wonderful!

What gorgeous photos you took. I love the cardinal, I have a real soft spot for them as the males always seem to be so protective over their mates. Have a great day! Kelly.
