Well we had two days of nasty storm weather with a mix of all sorts and lots of people had rain , snow , high winds , freezing rain and it was cold . Here we didn’t do to bad had lots of rain high winds that were cold then the next day we had a dusting of snow with more high winds that were very cold with snow squalls . We had very wet snow falling and some stayed but most melted as it hit the ground , our ground is warm now as I saw lots of birds pecking at the ground through the grass and they were actually pulling up worms and grubs .
Poor little birdies were all soaking wet .
But the rotten weather didn't keep them all from feasting they just feast more lol !
We had a few birdies under our porch taking cover as they usually do in a rain storm .
I love seeing them and hearing them chirp happily even in a storm under our porch so close to the kitchen !
This rain storm was one day then the next day we had some snow !
The birds weren’t the only ones feasting in the storms !
It was very wet snow and in a few hours of wind and a jump up in temps lots of it had melted fast !
So now it is the day after the 2 day storms and we have hardly any snow left and the sun has risen , all though chilly out it is to be sunny all day and all weekend which it is the last weekend of February already and the temps are to be mild as well going up to +8 or 46°F I can handle that with the sun shine .
So that was our two day storm and all is good and sunshine at the end of the weather rainbow so to speak !
Spring is on it’s way as I am seeing little fragments of it here and there !
Until next time .

Glad you and all the critters fared well in the storm.
What a difference compared to up here! But who knows how much will disappear with the mild temperatures over the weekend. I'm thinking too that winter is nearly over. Stratford Garden Festival is next weekend!
I'm glad you survived the storm! I'm sure you're looking forward to Spring, too. :)
Spring is on its way. Oh yes your images are beautiful. Hug B
We had it as snow and freezing rain- colder today though.
The squirrel knows where there's food to be had!
The sun is out today, glad to see the end of the stormy weather. I think the birds feed more when it is snowy or raining. We did see some deer out in the fields across the road this morning as well. Roll on nice spring weather.
I had lots of wet critters here, too. Sounds like you will have a good wknd. They are saying more snow here and honestly...that just depresses me. :(
Happy all is ok after the storm. Love the birdies,Francine
Loved the pics of the birds under your porch.. So sweet.. We had a couple of days of high winds, a bit of snow and a lot of rain, too.. It seems to have passed now though... Spring is near.. xo
It has really been some crazy weather, hasn't it? We didn't have the snow, but there were a few flurries and lots of cold, with spring making an appearance a couple of times -- The same expected for the weekend too. But you've taken another great series of photos, making me wonder what the birds think about all this?
Have a good weekend!!
Light is great in the last photo.
I is so windy here that the car was rocking at traffic lights just a little while ago.
Well let's hope that's the end of our winter storms. The poor soggy little birds look quite bedraggled. My birds have been gobbling up the seeds the last few days. Love the shots of the sun beaming down! Enjoy your weekend, supposed to be nice and warm on Sunday ;)

Poor little wet birdies! Glad it warmed up, spring is on the way!
We have rain forecast again next week - that jet stream is annoying! The poor soggy birds, yes they do eat more and ours tend to knock on the window when the feeders are empty! Tia says keep dry to Miggs xx
