A Slicker Of A Weekend

                                                                            This kind of slicker .

June 2015 (5 of 26)

It was a wet soggy , chilly , humid weekend weather wise and a nice quiet and relaxing one to . Papa and I had no building of any kind  or gardening to do this weekend .

June 2015 (2 of 26)

So we just puttered and enjoyed our patio porch  with Miggs and all the birdies and critters busy in the yard at the feeders and we had our  chiminea going   and I took some photos as the rains fell .

I just love rain drops as they splash here and there and the smell and sound of rain falling .

Papa ,myself and Miggs were all just enjoying the rains and the odd clap of thunder to !

Ok well maybe Miggs didn’t like the odd clap of thunder but she did do well and didn’t go to hide at all ! Good girl Miggs see thunder wont hurt you it is just loud !

Rain drops everywhere  and the gardens are singing .

It was nice to be relaxing  on the porch as it  was raining , Papa Miggs and I even had  a snooze here and there lol !

June 2015 (25 of 26)

Even the squirrels were happy all though soaking wet but at least the rain kept Miggs from chasing them as they stuffed  their little faces lol ! Also whilst it rained the birdies were busy feasting at the feeders to and the barn swallows were zooming about the yard and trees catching bugs that the rain had disturbed up into the air  from the grass , that was fun watching them ! All in all it was a pleasant weekend of relaxing watching the wild life  and rain and just chillin the weekend away ! Today it is humid , foggy and wet again .

                                                                               Until next time .

With the right attitude and in the right place, rain can be very pleasant.

Sounds like a relaxing weekend. I guess it is necessary to have some rain now and then! Miggs looks cute and alert at the sound of the thunder. Great shots! Happy Monday, have a great week ahead!

Sorry you had such a soggy weekend. It looks as though you made the best of it and all the plants and flowers will be grateful for it won't they. Our weekend was grey and cold, but of course now it is back to work today the sun is out again! xx

Since I grew up in Illinois and now live in Texas, I get really excited to hear the rain and thunder that just doesn't happen as often.

Great photos of the rain even though it was so continuous all weekend. At least you found a way to enjoy it and kept dry. Have a great day!

It is muggy today and the mosquitos are plentiful. I've been taking my raindrop photos. We had a job after all the rain to go up and clear out one of the gutters, it must of got clogged with debris with the heavy rain and the rain just wouldn't run away but kept spilling over the gutter. It was a quick and easy job and as soon as the stuff was released we could hear all the rain running down the gutters and out. Thank goodness as it looks like more rain is on the way.

Beautiful pictures.

I love rain, too. Nice, gentle rain.

We have been hot and dry with a few pop up showers not amounting to much but that may change later in the week.

We would welcome a refreshing rain, just not the kind that brings severe weather with it.
Looks like you had a lovely peaceful weekend, enjoying the cooling rain, and taking a few snoozes :)
Beautiful shots, I'm already feeling cooler, just looking at your pictures.

Beautiful pictures of a rainy day. We usually have lots of rain but not this time. I live about in a wax coat as on your first picture. It is very stinky, but I love wearing it.
