It has been fairly quiet here . The weather has been cold with windy moment's the odd snow falling here and there as well as the sun peeking out every now and then . I have been busy cleaning and tidying , slowly getting started on the spring cleaning lol a bit here , bit there . Miggs and I have also been enjoying our walks and playing in the yard . I have been filling my feeders still every other day critters and birds have been busy feasting jumping and flittering from one feeder to the other . This morning it was snowing big snow flakes and winds were calm it was quite pleasant .
Miggs has a bit of snow on her back in the photo . She just finished chasing her buddy George the Crow from the yard .
There was a tree across the street that had been tagged by the hydro company months ago to be cut down as it was very rotted , they showed up today and cut it down .
I find it sad to cut trees down as they are important but if they are very dead and rotting they have to come down especially when near houses and overhead wires .
As I was doing my tidying and cleaning Miggs was outside napping under the porch on her swing .
It started out cloudy and snowy but the sun is now trying it’s best to peek out as the snow gently falls here and there sounds of the birds chirping and chatting in the back yard from the Cedar hedge echo through out the yard in the cold air , it can get quite noisy with them all chatting and chirping , then all of a sudden they stop , then start up again .
So yeah not much happening here , just keeping on keeping on doing a bit of this & that I guess you could say . I heard the storm that was to hit the east coast was really bad in some areas and not so bad in other areas , I am glad all are safe .
I cant believe it is the last week of January already where does the time go ? ! Next Monday is Groundhog day and we will see if Mr Groundhog has good news as to how long it will be till spring and whether he will see his shadow or not lol makes me laugh though cause regardless whether or not Mr Groundhog sees his shadow spring is and has always been 6 weeks away from Groundhog day lol !
Until next time

I can't believe February is on Sunday! Where did January go?? lol
I agree, where did January go? Nice winter days when not bitter cold. Love Miggs on the swing, cute.Blessings Francine.
I agree, always sad to see a tree come down. My daughter had a big old oak fall in her yard recently for no apparent reason, except that it seemed to be rotting from the inside.
So there you are doing all the work and Miggs is just sitting there, nice and comfy - it's a dogs life! It is a shame when trees have to come down, but new ones appear soon enough. Good luck with the Groundhog!! I love that film and keep imagining if that happened in real life :-) Take care in that snow xx
I forgot about ground hog day, it will be hit and miss this year with the sun and shadows A little warmer would be nice. Miggs looks like he is fine:) Hug B
This winter is sooooooo much better than last..I'm not minding it at all really.Sunny all day here...and NO SNOW!

Miggs takes guard dog duties seriously!
We might get really lucky and have seventeen more weeks of winter.
Miggs doesn't seem to be bothered by the cold or snow! Must be that snuggly and warm fur coat. I'm personally thrilled that January is coming to an end. Can't wait till spring rolls in!
I'm waiting for Spring but really can't complain too much as we have had a good winter so far. Not too much snow and lots of sun-shine. :)
If Wiarton Willie doesn't bring us good news, I think you should sic Miggs on him. :)
It's a lovely sunny day but cold. Snow heading our way on Thursday. Onwards to February ... hope winter doesn't decide to make an appearance.
miggs is so cute in her swing. :)
