Winter Is Here !

Boy is it ever , since Wed night we have had frigid temps wind-chill warnings  high wind warnings snow squall warnings , snow blowing creating white outs  , a bit of sun on and off amongst it all and  two snow storms one after the other  , this is more like  our Canadian winters used to be   WOW !

Some of the  blowing snow across our valley in this photo , it got so bad I couldn't see a cross the road at all !

Miggs would go out just for a few minuets in this cold then she wanted back in , not like she used to be and lay out there in the  cold !

As you all know and see in my posts we have a lot of different birdies in our yard each day but this time it is pretty quiet at this bird and critter feeding station but they will be at it soon as they always are just before a storm !

JANUARY 2015 (11 of 16)

There is a few of them starting to come in now ! Soon it will be covered with them so much all you can see are bobbing birds every where !

JANUARY 2015 (12 of 16)

It was nice to see some sunshine on and off during these past few days of snow storms !

JANUARY 2015 (15 of 16)

Miggs and I have been in and out in-between these  storms to  , I filling the feeders , gathering wood and a little play time in the yard with Miggs but no walk yesterday it was way to windy  we were  in all cozy by the fire  . So as the storms  have passed for now and the sun has risen this morning we are off for our walk .

                                                                                         Until next time .

Such beautiful pictures. The cardinals stand out among the other birds so beautifully.

Daughter had to pull off on her way home last evening. Couldn't see in a whiteout.

Cold doesn't even begin to describe!! I am glad that you are all safe and sound and warm though. The birds must be so grateful for your kindness in keeping on feeding them, it makes a big difference to their lives. xx
