At Sunset

Not much sun here today , raining like crazy and mild but yesterday  after  the clouds rolled by for most of the day we had some lovely sunshine  just before it had to set .

So I grabbed my camera and took these Sunlit photos ! I love the fact that the sun is setting later each day now !

I could hear all the  birdies chatting up a storm in hedges as the sun was slowly setting  as they were turning in for the night !

Whilst I was taking photos I was also cooking super but I just couldn’t resist the sun set  and the way it shone on everything !

Even Harley got in on it as she was at the sliding door sniffing the air  and listening to the birdies as I had it open a bit in the kitchen .

Then it was Miggs turn !

Then they both were enjoying the sun set , well more like plating in the sunlit sunset lol !

JANUARY 2015 (11 of 11)

Miggs was trying to roll Harley over with her nose  , this goes on every evening I am in the kitchen cooking but it is better when the sun is shining . I love all seasons in our valley and the nature we have and with the sun shining on it all makes it even better .

I've noticed the sun setting later each day too! I'm thinking your animals are getting excited about it too. :)

Nice little glimpses of sunlit. It's dull here today, +3 Celsius, with some rain heading our way. Why didn't you keep the rain or send it somewhere else?? :)

I like your sunlit pictures Elaine. Your pets know how to enjoy the last bit of sun for the day too. It's +1 here and rain is on the way. I wonder where it came from?? LOL

What a nice end of the day, and you are right about the sunlight this time of year -- I'm glad we're seeing more of it!

You've caught the sunlight at special times during the day. Everything is enjoying lengthening days -- 4 legs and 2 legs! Love the web. Happy Sun Lit Sunday ... hope your week is sun lit too!

There is something so special about those quiet, low sun light moments.
You took wonderful pictures that illustrate the warmth of the gold so well!
Love seeing the fur babies together like that .. yes ! the sun or light is lasting longer and rising earlier finally!!
Not long until February and then it really starts to touch off the spring to Spring ! haha

Harley and Miggs appear to be good friends, enjoying the sunset together. I always enjoy the shots of your home. It looks so inviting with the sunlight touching this and that!
