First Few Days Of May

The weather has been on and off with sun shine and rain , mostly rain  .   The mornings have still been chilly as have the days  and nights a lot chillier then it should be for this time of year .

APRIL 2014 (2 of 14)

I am waiting for the night temps to warm up  so I can put my Geraniums out that are in full bloom !

I have been puttering , cleaning and doing the odd bits and pieces here and there . Miggs and I have been able to go for our walks before the rain sets  in each day  all though not as long as we usually do to avoid getting soaked lol !

We did however get some sunshine on the first day of  May , that was nice  but up north of us big clouds were floating along , so I was out side taking photos of them  !

Early May 1st morning with the sun shining a promise of a nice day and that it was !

Big puffy clouds rolling north of us !

APRIL 2014 (8 of 14)

I like the look of big puffy clouds and how their form and shape ever so slightly change as they move a long !

APRIL 2014 (11 of 14)

Finally our Rose-breasted Grosbeak has returned  ,actually there are two of them , both males , they sing so pretty . I am now waiting for our Baltimore Oriole still  our Wren and the hummers . I haven’t seen any butterfly's yet either  , I think the weather that has been going on all over the world has really affected the migration of all birds and butterfly's ! Lets just hope and  pray  they are  just a bit delayed  and nothing has happened to them !

Rainy again here today , grass needs to be cut  , oh well  at least the temps are to be warming up and sunshine next week  , maybe then May will finally return to it’s norm .

Until next time my friends !

I expect that your birds and butterflies will return, they are probably just delayed as the cold confused them I expect! Good to see that your garden is growing and warming up gradually! xx

I find myself wanting the rain to let up... it's not fun to walk through. Hopefully for today it's done. Lovely birds!

We are also being warned of cold nights and it does feel a lot cooler so the plants are still in the greenhouse waiting to be planted. I love the shots of the rolling clouds, blue skies are great but to see the clouds joining is mesmerizing! Have a great weekend. x

Lovely pots of blooming Geraniums !
Those are huge fluffy clouds, enticing you to venture outside.
I love those Grosbeaks, I only wish they would stay around a little longer, but they are flying to their home in Canada, and I'm sure you'll welcome them back.
Lovely post, have a wonderful weekend.

Love these pretty photos. Ever so slowly it's warming up. We traveled south to visit family and the further we drove we noticed that there were more flowers and trees in bloom. It's like you get past a certain point and someone has flipped the switch. Have a great weekend :)
