What We Woke Up To

The winds have been howling all night and blowing snow  everywhere .

The snow is stuck to the windows  drifted all up on the doors of just about every

                               building .

So Of course I had to take photos lol .

Looks like we have a lot of snow clean up to do but for now it will just have to stay

as the winds will be roaring all day here .

                                               January 2014 (3 of 10)-2

                                                                          Thick heavy sticky snow !

                                                     January 2014 (9 of 10)-2

                                                                             Covering every thing !

As it is blowing through the air creating white outs .

So looks like today is a stay in and putter snow day ! Watch movies , read blogs , do  laundry

all in my cozy jammies   !

This is the good old fashioned snow storms the kind I remember as a kid on the farm !

Until next time friends … stay cozy  and safe if your in it like we are !

And have a good day !

Your windows look just like ours. What a nasty storm system moving through. A long stretch of the 401 is closed by us due to accidents and white out conditions. I'm enjoying the day visiting some blogging friends, reading, and knitting. Stay warm and safe.

Stay warm ~ a friend of ours had 5 feet of snow in front of her door when she opened it. The dog couldn't go out ;-)

Looks the same over here! Good old fashioned Canadian winters, indeed!

Nice to be indoors in jammies and watching the snow blowing outside, Elaine. Enjoyed yesterday's post from years past as well. Sounds like good days for homemade soup, which is what I made when we had snow earlier this week.

it was nasty out there wasn't it? Tonight doesn't look as though it's going to be any better either. Stay warm.

We have your winds, but please don't send your snow to us. I don't think that I could handle that right now. It makes me think of growing up, but now I think we are more pansy then we were then. Have a wonderful day and stay warm. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

horrid weather, I think that your staying in plans sound good!! It is raining and raining and raining here again, we went out last night and had to go all sorts of ways round because of all the downed trees and blocked roads! Hope that you stay safe and warm. xx

The patterns snow makes on windows is lovely!

When my parents were living in cottage country, my dad had a shed with three different sections. The main section and the left section, each winter, were guaranteed to get drifts blocking the doors. The right section, never. So anything he needed over the winter went into the right section, and he didn't have to worry about shovelling or plowing through a drift to get at things.
