Today is very windy and cold the snow is blowing around like crazy . Temps are -16°C feels like -26°C and there is a wind chill warning in affect .
Miggs has got the right idea for todays windy cold snowy day .
Sorry Miggs no walk today we will just have to keep cozy indoors .
The weekend doesn't look to be any better weather wise either so I will be doing a lot of catching up on reading all your lovely blogs today and over the weekend !
Back in the day when I was kid on the farm the winters were much worse with lots more snow then we get now but when I was a kid the snow and cold didn’t seem to get to me like it does now .
I was always out side playing in the snow with my dogs .
Back then it was my mum who was the snap happy camera person I guess that is who I got the photo taking bug from lol .
Some times even now you will find me out with my dog playing in the snow all bundled up.
As I am typing this the sun is trying to shine through the cold wind and foggy cloud of blowing snow .
Until next time friends , Have a good day !

Yes, I loved the outdoors even in winter so much that I can remember my mother sending me outside in a howling storm. It was great! Today, I can't imagine doing that. As you say, the cold didn't bother so much then. Miggs has exactly the right idea for a stormy day!
I don't mind the cold or snow, as long as I don't have to be out long. It is the wind that I can't tolerate any more.
Great photo's today.
cute old pics! yup, we were far less sensitive to the cold as kids.
Miggs knows the value of a good nap!
Good Morning, What we did as kids and what we do now is way way different. I can remember playing in the snow and not thinking anything about it. I have enjoyed all of your pictures on this post and previous post. We are warming up but the wind is really strong again today only out of another direction. Have a great day and stay warm. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
My sympathies over the extreme cold snap, lets hope that it breaks soon.
Brrrr...
I love that first shot of you in the red snowsuit...yes the drifts and snow of our childhood were so much larger. The is a photo of me in the same color suit swallowed by the snow at my Grandma's farm, one day I am going to have to post it...
Keep on being you, that's what makes the blogging world so interesting, we are not all DIY's or Fashion trend setters..we are all unique.

Warmer here today but then back to the deep freeze....love the pictures of you and the dogs, yes, I was always outside too...Keep Cozy, Francine.
It certainly sounds as though indoors in the warm out of the weather is the way to go!! We are forecast more flood making rains this weekend, some places are still flooded from the last lot a month ago! xx
its going to be a hibernating type of weekend I am thinking!! Stay warm.
Miggs is smart; on days like that, lounging around is the best thing to do! Love those old photos!
I loved playing in the snow as a kid and I don't mind it now, but that wind. That incessant howling wind makes the snow anything but enjoyable. Love the photo of Miggs.
I love that photo of Miggs on the couch! Too cute!
It's amazing how much the weather affects us as we age. I can remember jumping in the cold swimming pool as a child and it not bother me. Now? Forget it! The pool has to be like bath water before I can get in it, ha!
Have a great weekend and stay warm!
Love your photos and post today, and glad I didn't miss it! My Dad was like your Mom and loved taking photos--They both would have loved digital--How did we ever manage with film? :-)
